​@@namelessiam7792 i'm almost certain that is actually confirmed. I dont remember which item's description states it, but metyr and the fingers lost all connection with the Greater Will. The words of the finger are indeed those of the greater will, but they're words from a time when metyr wasn't abandoned yet. That's why they go still after you get rejected by the erdtree. Metyr wasn't expecting this, so she doesn't know what to tell you next, and she must take some time to try to guess what The Greater Will would want.

There you have the black hole (black sphere) and 2 opposing energy jets coming from its center, as in Hawking radiation. That was some awesome spectacle of a boss fight, i remember looking at the whole "black hole" second phase of Metyr with my mouth wide open :O

It took me a while to figure out that it's better to fight Astel head-on rather than attacking it at the sides. I was having a lot of trouble fighting Metyr until I noticed some parallels to the two boss fights and decided to try sticking close to Metyr's front. I was immediately more productive that way, and your moves in this fight further convince me that I picked up on a valid connection. I dig the idea of Fromsoft potentially connecting fighting styles with game lore, since Metyr is canonically the first of the stellar alien monster category.

I tried everything on that thing, dodging it physically impossible, you can't run beneath it because there's not enough space, you can't run counterclockwise, it will still hit you no matter how early you start to run, you can't run away from it either, because it works on the entire arena. This move is officially the most stupid attack in all the Elden Ring. Waterfowl dance was officially dethroned.

Hello, I have been following you for a long time. I am also a player who challenges the no damage challenge. I just finished defeating this BOSS without taking any damage, but that was because I was lucky. The BOSS did not release 02:46 move, so I was able to complete the no damage challenge. I think that move is impossible to dodge at close range, but I still believe that the last hope is you. You can always create miracles, but it seems that you have also come to the conclusion that you cannot dodge it normally. although it’s a bit of a pity, you still ran well. At the same time, I was disappointed with fromsoftware for the first time. They actually made such an unsolvable move.

If she starts that attack when you are in melee range - there is only one possible way to dodge it and it's very stupid. You need Miriam's Vanishing and Bloodhound Step. You can chain the i-frames from the vanishing into BHS with no gap, because BHS i-frames start at frame 1, unlike dodge roll. Quickstep instead of BHS might work, but the timing is probably insanely tight. There is a clip of that on my channel. Absolute clownshow of an attack.

You CAN learn their moveset and master them, but so many of the bosses are just way overtuned and not fun to fight. Seems like fromsoft prioritized cool boss designs over cool movesets

I think there is another way to avoid the sweeping laser but you need to be in the right spot when it activates. I remember being able to stand close to the center in a place where the diagonal laser went above my head. It's possible I ran to the right spot when it triggered but I never managed to find it again in future attempts. I was either too close and got blasted by the whirlwind or was too far and the laser got me. Raptor of the Mist to the rescue as always!
