I love the fact that Steve and Alex go well beyond what a normal Minecrafter is capable of in regards to redstone and combat respectively (Steve can cobble together a TNT cannon in seconds and Alex is a living lethal weapon), but they are utterly incapable of the opposite.

Maybe they live in a modded Minecraft world that assigns specific ability boosts to Builders at the sacrifice of debuffs to other abilities. Steve's construction abilities are faster than normal while Alex's combat abilities are faster than normal but in both's case at the opposite they're either slower or outright incapable.

I really love the dynamic between Alex and Steve here. Alex is a one-woman army capable of going toe-to-toe with any mob in single combat, and more so when outnumbered. Meanwhile Steve is a Redstone God who can create advanced TNT Cannons in seconds. All while each are physically and mentally incapable of doing the other. It helps the two sync up together in combat, Alex takes the front, while Steve covers behind her, they are the perfect team together.

I love how even the targets they use reflect their differences. Alex's target is just two hay blocks, whereas Steve actually makes a TARGET block (which is just hay plus redstone but still).

The thumbnail made it look like she was hitting on them. I mean she was hitting him in the video, but I meant the other kind. I will say this, though I do like how this really showed their different modes of combat. You have Alex who is more the in your face muscle. And then you have Steve who is, the one who likes to use things like constructs and such. And I do love how with each successive video that you bring out their relationship grows. Like they literally went from being, I don’t wanna see enemies but at odds with one another. Two you can clearly see that not only are they friends, but there’s definitely something developing between them.

At first I didn't really understand why Steve, who was way more experienced, was worse at combat. But I suppose it makes sense, since he was crafty from the beginning, and never actually NEEDED to use significant hand to hand combat skills, so he just didn't learn it, and became accustomed to his workarounds.
