All the way through the 70's and 80's I had a personal A10 airshow on the weekly and often daily I lived in remote Great lakes farm land. Once in awhile, an F16 would show up with them, it was fantastic... they could definitely see us , we loved it. Once in awhile the occasional 16 would rock our windows. We had big out buildings, I think they liked to run on them.

Also, the gun on the Warthog has so much recoil that it can stall the aircraft. There is a system that monitors the air speed and will not allow the gun to fire if airspeed is close to stalling. I had a buddy of mine who was an officer at army Abraham training officer. They were doing training and there were a squadron of A-10 were also in the area doing unrelated training. Well the squadron asked if they could join the tank training. Who could say no to that? Within 5 minutes they decimated the tanks. They were flying so low they could actually see the pilots laughing at the tankers.
