LOVE the "best innovator" award. I'm a Pacers fan and this entire season has been a wild ride. Watching them defy conventional wisdom and still find success --in a rebuild year!-- has been amazing. Every player in their 11-man rotation is making a mark. They've done a fantastic job of recruiting, conditioning, and training. I'm really looking forward to where this team is going, and I'm curious how many others will try to emulate them. "Basketball IQ" might be something that teams weigh more heavily in the future. We'll see.

Great idea for a show! Using some creativity so we can avoid the same tired debates and conversations for a week prior to the finals rolling out 👍 Also GO PACERS!🎉🎉 that state and game 7 was totally historic no matter who was playing. It was a legit Knicks team in the Garden game 7. Obi Toppin’s dunk was epic also because missed not one but two dunks in the season last time he played the Knicks. Took balls and was a redemption dunk. Rick Carlisle truly is being innovative. I’ve been dismissed for asking this but I do feel his comfort as a musician and who has studied some jazz allows him to envision how being improvisational can work in the right smart hands 🏀

I hate seeing Embiid get credit. He's such a big baby, flops like crazy, intentionally falls on his opponents knowing he could injure them, he grabbed a guy's ankle that was in the air and pulled him down, you don't get much dirtier than that. He only won MVP because he whined so much, he won't win another one.

The east coast bias on these podcasts is crazy. Nobody cares about the damn Knicks. They will never win another title so please lets stick to the teams that matter. That also includes the Lakers bias. I am from Texas and I get tires of hearing about the Cowboys everyday during the season, but these shows take it to another level when talking about the Knicks and the Lakers.

Please tell me JJ didn’t give Haliburton an award. The dude had almost nothing to do with his team making the ECF. How many trash games did he have? I swear as a Celtics fan I was much more scared of that team when TJ was on the floor or when Drew had the ball than when Tyrese was playing. And Vs the Knicks not only did he have some terrrrrible games, but the arrogance and the way he would try to just get out of the way ASAP when he was supposed to try to guard Brunson was embarrassing at times. And this is coming from someone who prior to this season was biggest Haliburton fan I knew of. But the dude has a WAYS to go. He also has zero creation abilities without a pick…

I really like this group. I’ll admit, I haven’t watched the other two without JJ yet, but I think I’ve seen them twice with JJ and really liked them. - I’m not 100% sure they bring enough big personality to carry a show on their own, but as I haven’t seen them on their own, I’ll certainly hold onto that presumption as maybe they tone-down with/for JJ since it’s his show/channel. That said, I Really like that they aren’t crazy over-the-top and obnoxiously loud. I think, if they have a solo-show it’ll be a “slow burn” of growth, but it’ll be the “slow and steady growth with a very level-headed and logical fan base, as opposed to some other main stream shows:. I kind of got long-winded with it, but it was honestly refreshing

Hard disagree on Carlisle getting an award for innovation. In their defense, Indiana could only play who was in front of them, and that was an injured Milwaukee team, a really injured New York team, and a lightly injured Boston team. The only reason they got as far as they did were the injuries to those teams. Their inability to consistently play defense made them lose games they otherwise should have won. Their carelessness with the ball and late game possessions, or their execution in general when the shots aren't going in, doesn't seem like great coaching. But we'll see how they fair next season and how Carlisle's high pace offense holds up, especially if they encounter a healthy team in Round 1.

@@blakebowers1692 And they still lost games they should have won. Every team had injuries, the degree to which Milwaukee and New York were injured is not equivalent to the Pacers injury. It isn't equivalent till you get the Boston series and they lose Haliburton while the Celtics have no Porzingas. It's a coaching style we've seen fail time and time again in the post season when a team can't (or won't) defend, when the team struggles with late game execution and turnovers, and when they rely on pace over control. So bad take my left nugget, Kidd and Finch are more deserving.

People really believe embiids acting job with the injury stuff. 1. Bells Palsy doesn’t affect your arms or legs. Not an excuse. 2. Embiid played well and then would leave the game, walking, any time Mitchell Robinson checked into the game and forced some misses. Or when the heat defense caused turnovers.
