I have a short board and I recently started about 3 days ago! It’s so exciting and I am going from a foam 6ft board to a fiberglass short board. I am currently working on standing up on a wave, the board is perfect!

What does it mean making things "more vertical"??

turning and going straight up the wave, straight down the wave. As opposed to down the line where you're just kind of riding a straight line ahead of the breaking point of the wave
