Part one. Trying to put switch the internal boards for a Bluetooth enabled board. Keeping just the housing and the speakers. So can the 10€ amplifier board stand up to the specially designed Bose electronics? Let's find out.

there are Bluetooth adapters you can buy for the apple 32-pin plug on top. While this video is a tad old, I hope the speaker has lasted you this long, I just found one at a Goodwill in perfect condition and I love it!

thanks peter, i have both the series1 and two and planned the same thing as you, but the DSP is strong on that one. so i will keep my TDA for other speakers and solder a Bluetooth IC on the Dock instead..... right now i use a Layen BS1 in the Dock Series on. which is a (not so Cheap) alternative if you want to keep the original Soundprocessing, my dock2 uses a way cheaper bluetooth two 3,5MM, Jack adapter for 7 bugs -> HK008 with one jack and one "manly" connector, which i like a lot because it also features a Mic ;)

You should try the tinysine tsa1740. It has a built in sound processor and the sound signature is a pretty good match for the bose's enclosure tuning.

Hi, great video, I like it. By the way, do you happen to know the input pin for the left channel and right channel on the amplifier board that is located in between the two speakers? Cheers

Did you try it? I'm wondering the same, maybe we can use the Bluetooth receiver and connect it to the bose amp innit?

You can buy a 5V micro USB bluetooth receiver off eBay and plug it into the Aux input on the dock - easy, costs $5 and you get to keep the original Bose tuning. Or try one that fits in the 30 pin dock, but one I had didn't work and it was supposed to be one of the "better" ones at the time

and what about connecting the receiver to the bose amp?

Is there any way I can find thematics of it ...and make it battery portable... ? thanks for help.

you can make it protable if you use the external amp board. But it will not sound great. Powering the original setup from battery will be trickey because as far as I remember it is not plus and minus x Volt, but it is more like plus 12 volts and minus 12 volts... Thats the reason why I fried the board later on...

Best to find one of the original battery powered sound docks. That way it's already all done for you and maybe all you need is to upgrade the battery, unless Bose has isues with battery like the Soundlink mini

Find something that's 16 to 18 volts. Should be able to power the Philips (I think) class d amp in there. Fyi that would be 5* 18650 li-ion batteries

It sounds bad because in the bose sounddock, one driver handles the bass while the other one stands for treble, the TDA is sending the signal without clipping either of the two, also lets take into account that bose doesnt use enclosures but resonant air channels (Idk how its called, english is not my first language lol).

I've seen the amplification circuits. Pretty sure both drivers are playing full range. Its probably the signal processing or enclosure leak that makes it sound bad
