It's natural that Kokkaffe Diary would undergo complete metamorphosis like the Chironomid to include old pal Markus who has highly evolved intelligence and hiking strength in pursuit of wily trout. Spectacular as usual. Thanks

This year in Northern WI and MN, I think we have Swedish levels of mosquitos. The fishing has also been awesome. Coincidence? I think not. Another great episode! Thanks Rolf!

Having just camped/fished in northern Wisconsin last weekend, I can confirm this to be true! 🤣

@@CatchReleaseRepeat I usually eschew the use of a head net, but during the hex hatch in Northern WI this year I had to resort to it. It is hard to fish when you are sucking mosquitos into your lungs!

I am glad to see that Markus did not, in fact, “die from complications involving black fly bites”. Feel like that joke was lost on many of us. Good to see him resurrected, anyway.

@@RolfNylinder No worries! My message sounds more severe than I meant it too. Incredible work btw man - your channel is my absolute favourite. I have even decided to buy a kokkaffe pot - and to wait a while longer for that rise, appreciating what is around me, rather than rushing to get the nymphing rig out.

Hey Rolf, much love from NYC. I love your videos, they calm me down and remind me of the first time I was fly fishing with some pals and I got my hook stuck in my cheek 1.5 cm below my eye, haha. Still learned to love it and haven't lost my eye yet. Can you ask Markus where he got his earrings from? -Will

I don't have nearly enough mosquitoes to have proper fishing, if maybe chiggers will suffice it might at least count for proper environments to make kokkaffe. I have the proper lemmelkaffe ingredients and a kettle for the fire thanks to international shipping from the Motherland..... For me Southern Texas will have to be good...... 😮 Must I use no. 16 hook Black Klinkhammer??

Hey, me and Markus have mostly lemmel and podsol gear. Tiny arctic brands we are involved in, not in America, but if you know any retailers please introduce these brands :)
@Antwoord1337 Жыл бұрын
Out of pure curiosity, I wonder how you brew coffee and if you think there is any difference? Do you boil water and then add coffee and let it cool down without reheating? Or do you boil water, pour in the coffee, boil it again, and then let it cool? Or the last option, do you boil water, add the coffee, and keep boiling until the coffee stops foaming? Thank you for your wonderful videos!!
@RolfNylinder Жыл бұрын
I’ve changed my style over the years. Nowadays I go with the first option. But sometimes when filming I go for the second option, it’s nice to see the coffee boil, but the taste is better with option one.
