Thanks Bill for another interesting Vid. I often have to cut my way into swims, so I take some old Secateurs with me. Your Vid on the Fox EOS1 Chair was very helpful. I know you needed a light chair. My Wife also has a bad back so I bought the EOS2 as it has a higher back, and she finds it very comfortable out on the Patio, many thanks. The Gnome in next-door's garden pond is still getting more Fishing than we are!

There's a marl pond on a farm not far from me which has crucians over 2lb, roach up to 1lb some biggish mirror/common carp, biggest carp I've seen so far was 11lb 8oz, (been snapped a few times by something large), perch up to 2lb, lots of smaller roach and perch and some hybrids. £3:50 a day. I'll be going there once we're allowed to fish again.

There are many,including Thornton Hough AC,Wirral AC ,Port Sunlight AC loads!Hope this helps....

i fish a pong very similar to this but the water is very clearly. pick three spots and dump a load of bread mash in. every few days for a week or two, then come back with a light spinning rod dawn or dusk, bait the same spots but very lightly and free line floating or slow sinking bread. catching the tench and crucians and even carp this way is some of the best fishing iv ever done. the tench will come torpedoeing out of nowhere from their weedy silos and slup the slow sinkers, they will take the bait off the bottom too. same for crucians althouguh it did once manage to get a 2lb (current pb crucian) off the top. the pond is i fish is river fed and also has a low stock of pike and an abundance of wasp perch that suicidally hit lures. iv also had a 3lber from there. epic sport. its one of my favourite places to fish in the entire world there sa school of chub there too plenty of 1lbers but also a hanful and ahalf of 3-6lbers. iv fished it lots in the last 4 years and only managed one or two of the bigger chub half on topwater lures half on floating bread. i coukld witter on about this place for years.if you are every going to be in yorkshire ill bait you a swim with a clean bottom. if you are interested go onto my channel and any of the tench videos will probably be that same pond. also my fly fishing for perch is the same pong but in february best of all its a free venue that is very unknown

Some years ago a pond no bigger than yours, and much less attractive, turned up a 5 lb perch. It was a desolate looking hole in the shadow of a derelict mill. The main features were bike frames and oil drums, not a place one lingered in daylight never mind after dark. Nevertheless some local kids winkled out the monster fish during a school holiday, and a passer buy photographed it and the picture made the local newspaper. You have to marvel at nature sometimes.

@easyfishing1936
@easyfishing1936 4 жыл бұрын
Well first i may introduce some corn, pellets while walk around new waters but i am mostly assessing the water and looking for fish or signs at least. For a new unknown water water, similar to this i would probably just use a short pole and/or a light waggler approach and my bait would include punched bread corn and worms. The snags and size of expected fish will dictate tackle strength but if possible i will use light tackle and small baits just to get a bite with loose feed, I would expect a soft silty bottom so would plumb up so that my bait just touched bottom. I would try to plumb around looking for underwater features and if i had the time and space would look for two areas to fish. One would be in open water with fine tackle and small baits and another near features, lily pads, rushes etc with much stronger tackle and more selective baits for bigger fish ie corn bigger worm baits etc and would bait but not fish it for a couple of hours to let any bigger fish settle on the bait and gain confidence. I hope this helps Bill
