I used a Float other week on a lake the main line kept hooking around the float,,in a tangle,,is there any reason for that??

Sad to hear Bill has left us, but learnt an awful lot from him and often return to learn more.

I'm thinking of setting one up using a couple of those plastic storage box's

Yuo this is the bloke to listen to, i used to catch fish as a kid for survival niw im an adult im getting into fishing for fun but im a caveman the fella i watched before this had a mary poppins bag full of gear about £200 worth i got a £16 whip 3 rigs, a tub and some maggots and somewhere to sit thats all we need.

Persistence paid off! What a fish!!

Good video for a recovering aneurism/stroke patient. I enjoy fishing with cane poles or "whips" as they say in the UK. Never used prepared bait before to lure fish in. Just bait a hook with a worm and wait...lol. Easy fishing is the way I like to do things. Will have to give prepared bait a go here in the Midwest as most of my fishing is done in rivers, lakes and reservoirs. Live Canadian Night Crawlers on a hook is what we Yanks use here. Not quite as sophisticated as you British anglers are but if it works, it works mate.

Great stuff. Recently got into whip fishing after finding myself getting fed up with all the 'gear', time spent tackling up only to get snagged all over the place. Admittedly that's my poor angling skills, but what I find with the whip is that it's no longer a chore to go fishing. As I'm not a specimen hunter this suits me just fine.
