Wah fantastic that you guys are taking the slow route up. Most of us gun past malaysia whilst heading into thailand. Couple of lovely roads to explore around northern Malaysia in the states bordering Thailand - Kedah and Perlis. Do you have an end point for thailand in mind. Do let me know, happy to provide inputs if you need any.

@singhangad thanks for your input😁we plan to end at phuket. We will check out Kedah and Perlis if we can! If you know roads that are nice to ride through to phuket, do let us know!

​@@joy_tothe_world Wah my first ride on my little pulsar 200 ns was to phuket too! Kedah the route K13 and enter thailand via Durian Burong if you like, it a quiet border. Keep in mind these areas international roaming doesnt work till you are almost in Hatyai Alternatively Use the west most border - Wang Kelian - again a very small crossing. Route R15 is wonderful. You will need thai insurance and if you need contacts let me know they will send you a pdf copy of all relevant forms. Route to Phuket in next comment.

Okay I dont know what happened to my thailand comment! Clear the border and Ride to Pak Bara beach. Sticking to 404. As you are approach Trang Town turn left to 4261along the coast and then to 4046 and onto main road 4. 4 will take you all the way past krabi, phang nga and into phuket. however, after krabi I'd suggest switching to 4034, 1003,4011, Connect to 4, then 1002, 4311 and back to 4 and into phuket.
