Stevie’s voice is like warm honey! She could sing a duet with the top singers of the day and just make them sound different!! (Glenn Fry, Tom Petty, Kenny Loggins to name a few!). Everything she touched turned to gold!!

The rawness of her voice with the purity of Henley’s is just stunning. There is a great live version that Stevie does without Henley and she does some absolutely stunning g harmonies with two other women. I’ll try to find and link!

I only hope that our music stays alive for the young adults to learn from. Serious vocals, serious lyrics, serious music. Nothing synthesized. Guess we were spoiled and didn't realize music would change so much in the future. Blessed to have experienced the 60's and 70's first hand

Stevie wrote this song for country star Waylon Jennings and Jessie Coulter, but they broke up and Waylon wanted to sing it as a solo and Stevie said no. It’s meant to be a duet between a man and woman, so she and Don Henley recorded it for her debut solo album, and it’s one of the best duets ever! Right along with her Tom Petty duets!

I adore Stevie Nicks. She has been my music goddess for decades. She's touring in December in Sacramento (where I am) and San Francisco (where I'm from) and I would LOVE to go see her. Unfortunately I discovered the dates after buying ticket/hotel/airline there/Amtrak back for a Home Free show that's about a week before her dates. It breaks my heart to not be able to see her when she's so close but I'm maxed out and broke from several Lyft rides to the ER and back. (Having to walk over a mile to my motel from Home Free's Lake Tahoe show 3 weeks ago took its toll.) Oh well. Maybe next year's birthday...

I just discovered you and have so enjoy your Fleetwood Mac Journey, it was my very first concert in 1978, I saw Stevie Nicks again years later on her own, they never disappoint, true to my heart! And speaking of heart I have loved your heart videos too LOL I'm mainly a Metalhead, but these are the bands of my childhood it's fun to reminisce with you, you're doing great keep it up! When you're ready for more Nightwish Romanticide is a banger!

For sure Stevie Nick's wrote her own book, absolutely an unpredictable woman. Fascinating she writes this song with Don, yet Tom wrote the duet with him on the same LP. My favorite Stevie Nick's solo song is " Violet and Blue" from the "Against All Odds" soundtrack, formerly nearly impossible to find. Thank God she decided to put it out on the most recent re-release of "Wild Heart" which I naturally purchased. Big news when one of Fleetwood Mac's lead singers and one of the Eagles lead singers were teamed up for a duet. Great album by Nick's, on her first solo venture, I was 16 and bought it immediately. The following year Don Henly released his first solo album which was excellent and suprising as well. The Mac are legend, and Nick's is a big piece of that great pie.

When I was 21 I dated a guy who sang & played guitar & we used to sing this song together. We shared the same birthday, & our friends threw us a big birthday party & we performed this!! It was fun, & I discovered I can sing better when I'm drunk! Lol!!

Stevie Nicks originally wrote this song for Waylon Jennings and his wife. Waylon had asked Stevie to write a song with the title Leather and Lace. Basically the song is about her and Lindsey Buckingham but it fit Waylon and his wife perfectly. Waylon and his wife broke up so Stevie was left with the song so she decided to include it in her album Belladonna.

Then she began a relationship with Joe Walsh (Eagles guitarist). Anyway u aren't the only one Sal .. I heard many guys swoon over Stevie in the past years. Guess there's just something about her. I love her music & this track is no exception esp.since the Eagles are my #1 band as well. Their voices pair very nicely. NOTE: I got notified on ur posts today ...
