Fun Fact: Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, was a literal fan project within Nintendo. Developed by staff on their free time. Hints as to why there were other Nintendo IP characters in game. Cause now a days. You would NEVER see this ever again within Zelda. So, when Nintendo needed more games for The Game Boy. The crew pitched the HALF FINISHED game to management. And it was officially approved. Thus is why Link's Awakening is so different from the other Zelda titles of the time. Cause it was doing things that some members of the team wanted to do. Yet couldn't get approval officially on the last two Zelda games. It is thanks to Link's Awakening. We have the ability to switch weapons and items to any slot and a few other items and mechanics. Also, the horror of the Cucco Horde. Never attack the chickens.

Lol. I got my GameBoy when it released for my 19th birthday by using all the bday money family gave me. It was the most amazing thing ever and i absolutely flunked out of college not once but twice playing ot nonstop in class. Gen X grew up with Mattel Football type handhelds....LED lights so....this thing was mind blowing...portable gaming????? Incredible. People who didnt live it cannot understand it. You had complete control over it unlike TV game systems....other people in the house wanted to watch the tv believe that or not. And there was often just ONE tv in a house...believe it or not. LOL. You could absolutely play it just about anywhere. People todayact like you need a spotlight...nope. remember people used to actually read books so bed lamps were common. Or any lamps actually. And outside....you know outside used to exist....people actually sat outside. Really. No one ever talks about Nintendo sold their OWN Nintendo brand AA batteries and tried to make us believe that Rayovac, Duracel and Energizer batteries....which were CHEAPER would actually harm the system. As always Nintendo scammin' Game Boy is the absolute best system ever.

The Game boy was one of those once in a blue moon devices to earn the title of being referred to as a generic name. Parents would say, "Put down that game boy" even when it became the DS or 3ds or hell even a psp

You say the gamecube versions of games are better. But yet more copies were sold on other consoles. Meaning it's better on other consoles. One disc is better than 2 or 3. Onto of that I noticed some gamecube games look worse on gamecube than ps2. My ps2 looks great. But when I run the same games on gamecube. I notice polygons everywhere. And more rough edges than ps2.

You glaze Nintendo 64 in comparison to ps1. But people didn't get ps1 and 2 just because you can watch movies and stuff. They did it because it had so many games any and every one can enjoy it. Nintendo 64 didn't sell well compared to Playstation because Spyro and crash bandicoot and all the other fun ps1 and 2 games. That are way better than most the 64s library.
