Pretty amazing but I just found out a few days ago from a dna test I am descended from him on my mother's side. Doing a bit of research to discover more about him. Nice video.

How would you they trace it that far back? Rome destroyed Israel. Not hating, genuinely curious on how accurate it is.
@sagegarden53107 ай бұрын
@@ElChuvyDuvy yeah they dug up his grave n tested some bone or something like that .I think that's what I read? They have this code thing they call a haplogroup and it's like a code that begins with a letter n some numbers. They have a code for female lines of families n other for males so this one's through my moms line of dna. On the male side of my ancestors I'm a Haplogroup R something,same as the French King Louie 16 which is way back also.fascinating stuff. I never knew my birth father n I'm in my 50s n found him through this test but he passed on a while ago.

Why do most paintings depict Paul and the Apostles as old? As for Paul, he was stated as being a "young Pharisee" (probably less than 30 years old), and he served Christ for 14 years.

One question who is your favorite apostle of Jesus ? Peter, James, Paul or john etc
@gilroberts90372 жыл бұрын
I would probably say Peter cause he represents the everyday man. He had his faults and made many mistakes but he truly loved Jesus so much so that he didn't even want to die the same way as him. This is allot like Christians today. We make mistakes and stumble sometimes cause we are human and weak in the flesh but at the end of the day our salvation is in Jesus Christ.

Seems like Luke was a reporter of sorts. Went around asking questions to the people who were eyewitnesses of Jesus and wrote the gospel in a report, newsarticle style of writing. (edit) I believe the fact he was detailed about the births confirms this. The only people who could be a witness to that would be the people who were around a pregnant Mary
@gusjackson36585 ай бұрын
No. Luke guessed that stuff and got it wrong. He latched onto a census from the wrong year and then made up the bit about Joseph having to go to his hometown to locate the birth of the Messiah at Bethlehem in line with the Old Testament. But no Roman census ever required that. Why would they? Their purpose was to tax you where you were, not where you came from. Jesus was of Nazareth, not of Bethlehem, and never claimed otherwise. And nowhere in the Bible does Jesus ever recount any story of his own birth. There is history and there is literature. And the Bible does not meet the standards required to be classed as history.

Neither Luke nor Paul ever met Jesus during his ministry or even his life. And James, Jesus’s brother, was very uncomfortable with the teachings and writings of Paul.
