Hey bro! just wanted to comment about the guy in the background staring at the brother. To be honest the guy that was starring probably heard the brothers American accent while he was talking, and when he looked at him he would have just been curious like where is he from because its easy to pick out foreign accents in our country but its different when its an American one because well most of the television and movies we grew up watching were and are from America so it can be like 'wooaah" when we hear American accents, because theres been so much western culture influence in our country and theres so much that fascinates us about America. Also the brother being African American its not everyday we see the brothers walking around NZ especially Christchurch of all places. so in reality it would most likely just have been curiosity over all.

Kiwi here. Dude in the background was just curious. We don't get many black Americans here, and we don't get many people filming themselves. Neither is seen as a bad thing in any kind of way, it's just rare to us so we tend to stop and look because it catches us off guard a little. But what he's talking about, going to outdoor things and everyone just relaxing, that's really normal here. You go to outdoor family events like that, there will be music somewhere, food and so on, and yea everyone just sits on the grass and stuff and chills. Nobody has any dramas.

Awesome to hear you're coming to NZ this year Twano! Been watching you're interest in our nation develop over the last 2-3 years or so. One thing I've got to say, since I'm a Napier boy (in the Hawkes bay) is Art Deco weekend, I know you likely wont be here for it because it's generally February when it's held, but it's honestly one of the greatest events our country does. - check it out of you haven't. But we also do a winter Art deco weekend aswell, (Much smaller scale) but good oppurtinity to dress up and and be apart of the 1920's time period. Hopefuly will spot you around on your journey here brother, and if I do, the classic New Zealand hospitality will be on offer! Food, drink, shelter, and the Boys!

Well, I am writing this from Christchurch, New Zealand so I am very happy that the gentleman in this video clip feels safe and at peace here. I'm actually very puzzled why this is such a big deal for him. Is life in America so tense now that people have to act like they are in a warzone even at events like this one? The Sparks in the Park event he is at is one of those 'Fireworks set to music' shows where its just people and families having a good time. Everyone is smiling, everyone is safe. He makes life i America sound bad but I know it can't be all bad there.

@@SaraAm91 I've never seen such behaviour in my 60+ years of living in this country and, as a white person, had I witnessed same I'd have called the perpetrator out for it. New Zealanders are generally polite and friendly so there's no room for such prejudices when, fundamentally, we're all the same under the skin. @@SaraAm91 I agree as a 100% kiwi saraAm, it is the gangs & the govts who are mainly the ones imposing their bullshit on the NZ people - we cop it from both sides of an ugly coin, and if you are indigenous it gets worse, now you cop it from another sector (racism is very rife in NZ), govt lies and deceit, and we cop it from gangs flexing their muscle & hatred on public who are only "one out" not in multiple numbers every day trying to make an honest dollar for their families only to see the govts taxing the fk outta the general public, not the rich & elite. We the good folk are here, but the gap is stretching further apart with these two devils on both sides of us. In NZ no one carries guns, unless they're out in the bush hunting. Even the regular cops, only the equivalent of a US SWAT team carry guns. We had one mass shooting, and banned all automatic weapons within two weeks. It's not perfect, despite strong DEI type laws women don't quite get the same average wage as men, but free public health care for all, no abortion restrictions from a patient welfare or medical position, but there is an underlying passive racism in older and rural areas that will probably take generations to lose, but there no THUGLIFE type rituals for ethnic minorities over here that I am aware of.

there's a mosque, very near Hagley park in Christchurch, where some Australian rightwing fanatic opened fire killing many people there. He also attacked another mosque a few kilometers away. He killed 51 people- men, woman and children, live streaming his handiwork. The government (Labour) outlawed the ownership of semiautomatic weapons after that. Our current government (a coalition of right wing extremists and capitalists) are trying to undo that law for fun and profit. Getting nz 'back on track' they call it.

The last time I remember a child going missing here , the whole country got involved, and 2 weeks later, unfortunately, found she had fallen into a drain in the backyard or something. I'm sure someone will correct me. But the support is too huge for something like that to happen , you'd have to be a real idiot to do that here.

We all very chill in New Zealand. They only time you have to be concerned when you're out is when there is lots of alcohol involved, and when out during the city night life with certain gang affiliated members who are just out to cause trouble, but that is also rear as there is a big police presence in the known city night life areas. But that's also another thing, you don't have to fear the police like you might in the US, they aren't armed and if you drunk and causing trouble the worse case scenario is you'll get wrestled to the ground. But life is very chill here, we help each other out, like you may have seen in one of FatherProfit's other TikTok videos.

No need to fear us here in NZ my bro... yeah we got struggles and shit, but here, you can go to the shops get a pie and go home in one piece. Other countries dream of a peaceful day. We're laid back bro. Easy going. We got our bad apples, but then so does every other country. And some will spoil the the rest. Thats life. Apart from that, how you been brother!? Hope you okay over there you looking well my bro. Chur bro, im off to work. Keep safe mbro. Edit: sad to hear americans cant enjoy one anothers company in a park. Or anywhere for that matter. Honestly bro, thats heartbreaking. And i reckon its because of civil wars there, the Mississippi killings, the rodney king incident with the pigs when they beat him up, the slave trade all them years ago will build up resentment over the years. I love american history bro. Especially the black history. We all kinda tie in together. We all been used and abused if we werent white. And now times are a changing. Again, take care brother. Keep the vids coming.

Beautiful to see the brother feeling no need to arm up, BUT NZ is not exempt to sussy places to feel free to kick back, I know a few suspect places to always watch your back, but in general we a good place to be, if you in the know.

Adding to Derek Pirini's comment, for kiwis to hear a different accent we are down for where are you from, the question will be can you tell me about how it is in yr country is it the same as in the movies, We are not all blessed to travel to witness for ourselves, We have the biggest hearts, kids going to the toilets by themselves, of course there's weirdos, but in saying that if a child looks uncomfortable or if there is any strange activities any adult will never turn a blind eye, we will make sure our babies are taken of, reunited with there parents, best country in the world 💯❤️

Kia ora hello bro hay what you said about weirdos in every country is spot on. There's always an opportunist waiting for someone to slip up or let their guard down . So relax but don't let mister scumbag get an opening for mischief

Hi, I live in New Zealand, have my whole life, love the USA too, but Nz is Wayyyyyyy WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY, more relaxed, we out here trying to live happy lives and tend to be a to more kinder and symapathetic and respectful to others, we have crime but not like America. It's just a happy good vibe here, we don't live in fear it's good.Ive been to LA, Chicago, Arizona, Florida, Hawaii, it can be a scary place.

That guy giving that weird look probably overheard that tiktoker's American accent or maybe he looked familiar and was trying to work out where he had seen him - It was a harmless look but I totally understand why you would have thought that though.

Just your accent would peak someones interest here, lol you will feel very very un noticed or you will have people happy to see a visitor they may ask you how long you are visiting or they may tell you of nice places to visit, or offer to take you to new places, when you are filming some people may be curious with that to because you wont see that many people filming here, I hope you and your family have a seriously chill awesome happy time making memories, trust me no1s out to get you here. Its Sad you have had to live your life on guard, no place in N.z is unsafe for you to visit and enjoy.

It's extremely unusual to see black American people in NZ. There is a real curiosity to hear their stories and feel the vibe. It would be great to see more black Americans over here, they are vibrant, innovative and interesting.
