I've been searching for this list since Brian's video. I love you for bringing me that Aphetto Alchemist life.

Awesome to see you still in the lab with Vintage Nadu. The beginning matches were great, even the later matches had it's moments. EDIT: I wonder if Ledger Shredder could replace frog if you're looking for a mono blue option.

Does vintage ever take inspiration from cEDH decklists? Aphetto was in Nadu decks 6 months ago before the ban and was really, really good. Obviously alot of differences between 60 card and singleton, but seems like there could be some ideas to work with there.

That alchemist is way better than I thought it was going to be. Damn, it's actually a sweet card.

Being blue almost makes aphetto alchemist good enough for vintage. The sick combo with time vault makes it playable. Adding nadu to the mix might make it good enough to get restricted! alchemist= best creature ever‽

32:30 is there a point where you fetch mainphase to shroud your dryad arbor so it wont be exposed to removal .

In M1G2 your DD opponent might have held the ancestral that they tutored for as the pile crack. After you countered DD they let it go instead of drawing for a counter because you had mana open. The windows they used was the first time you tapped out after DD got countered. I'm not saying they were right to, but it's a coherent line of reasoning that gets them where they were. Are we by any chance going to see some arcanist gaming from you after you spitballed ideas for grixis lurrus? maybe with breach as a tight combo package? theoretically should be up your wheelhouse with a combo plan and a good blue shell. One thing I'm asking myself looking at the list at the end of the league is whether legolas' reflexes is actually better than playing other counter magic or protection. Split second protection from swords and the 2 card plague wind combo is pretty cool, but i'm not sure it's worth the lost flexibility. But I don't know what the best slot in would even be... fluster? veil?

I think you meant to say "Atraxa, Grand Unifier". Maybe not the most QUOTE UNQOUTE powerful, but certainly the best.

In R3 G2 you had so many possibilities for the turn 2 win, sometimes even with FoW backup. Seems like a premature concession.

yes but i saved so much mental instead. pro level move

@@IamActuallyLvL1I dunno, it’s hard for me to understand why you’d give up in that spot. You have a 1 mana draw 3 in hand, along with half of an infinite combo. Time Walk offers you some additional chances. Your deck contains cards like Black Lotus, Tinker, and Ancestral Recall. Example sets of top 4 cards that give you good chances: - Black Lotus, Manifold Key, mana source - Tinker, Mana Crypt, mana source Even if you simply top-deck a single Urza’s Saga, you can play it and play Time Vault, and your opponent has one turn to answer it, given your Time Walk in hand.

If you're already in deep enough to be running 4 Aphetto Alchemists, is it time to go all-in and also run an Unctus for the infinite looting combo?
@IamActuallyLvL18 күн бұрын
playing bad cards does not mean u should play more bad cards
@Bafflementation8 күн бұрын
@@IamActuallyLvL1 Think of it as playing different bad cards, rather than more. You're not swapping out a mox or Force for this. I'd experiment with it in place of the 2nd greaves, or the blightsteel, or the 4th Nadu if I was giving it a go. It just struck me that the card meshes awfully well with what the deck is doing. In addition to the combo with alchemist, it can pay life for Nadu triggers, is Tinkerable, and pitches to force.
