This Empress consist is going to be a difficult build and often custom build with all the specialty cars. There's a custom tender kit you can buy too from milepost 93 models

Only Auxiliary Tender worth doing would be the one that belongs to SP4449 that they let 2816 borrow because there is already a company making the other one. However the company making the other has already expressed interest in making 4449's Aux so might as well just wait

The only hang-up with doing something like that is that I cannot recall where the Railroad Roman font I used came from. Many fonts have restrictions on commercial use. I've given some thought to perhaps adjusting the graphic I had printed to include just the 29114 boxcar stuff (I had some other things printed on the same sheets) and passing the file around but that might take a little time.

Very nice! Im in the process of building a few CP business cars (this boxcar being one of them) its a little odd bo one makes the decals for any of these cars have to get them all done by Circus City Decals. Currently building car 99 & 97 Tool car and Generator car.

Very nice work! I’m actually planning on making the entire Final Spike Tour consist at some point but for now I’m just sticking to the simple 6 car consist from when 2816 starred in the IMax movie “Rocky Mountain Express.” What paint did you use for this car? That Maroon looks sharp and doesn’t at all look like it’s over applied. Really wish someone made decal sheets for Canadian Pacific passenger equipment

Truth be told, the paint is a maroon lacquer I got from hobby lobby. It's intended for use on automobile models I'm pretty certain as it has that same metallic... how do I describe it... speckle to it? For a boxcar that stays clean though, I think it works.

When you get around to it the tool and Generator car can be pretty easily made using Walthers Proto UP heritage fleet baggage cars the Generator car will require a little more work but it makes it pretty simple.

What type or make is the CP steam locomotive

It's a model of a Canadian Pacific H1b 'Hudson' type locomotive. Specifically, a model made by Rapido Trains representing #2816, "The Empress." She's the sole surviving H1b, is currently in the care of CPKC, and is run for special events. The model represents the locomotive as she appears today.

There are several places that will print a graphic you send them a print-ready file. That's what I did here. The group I went through was Fusion Scale Graphics.

1. remove old paint with alcohol or brake fluid. 2. take car apart. The doors, upper door guide, roofwalk and brakewheel are press-fit and easy to remove. 3. start with a better model. An Accurail is as cheap and far nicer looking. Athearns are from 1950s tooling 4. i've seen the real one and yours is way too glossy. The gloss effect is scale-dependent; the smaller the item, the less glossy it should look, espeically N scale stuff. 5. I'm not sure 100-ton Hyatt trucks are appropriate for a 50-ton car. That being said, enjoy your model!

If I may what exact Accurail box car would you get? There are quite alot out there just trying to figure out the best one to do my own custom of this model.
