As a teacher i try to enlighten my school students about this that its not guru nanaks birthday celebrated as gurupournima bt its vedavyas for the past 13 years.n unfortunately my collegues say its lord ganesh who wrote mahabharat.i had to explain my fellow teachers that ved vyas was narrating n ganeshji was the scribe writing mahabharat,which is initially called as jayakatha.i honestly enjoy ssharing this info to everyone n clarifying their doubts abt this.thank u sir fr this on gurupournima

There's a rule in Pratishakya of Yajurveda: hakaaraannaNama paraannaasikyam. whenever 'ha' kaara is followed by 'na', 'Na' or 'ma', the anunaasika has to be pronounced first followed by the pronunciation of 'ha' kaara. like in the word 'brahma' it has to be pronounced as 'bramha' and not as 'brahma', in the word 'maadhyaahnika ' it is pronounced as 'maadhyaanhika.

These days, there is a new line of thought being propogated. The lipi's pali and brahmi are being told as the oldest and devnagari, therefore sanskrut (Vedas, Ramayan, Mahabharat, puranas et al.) is the latest of them, around 7th century AD. Also that prakrut is older tban Sanskrit, therefore mahayan buddhisn is hindu religion. Nobody is countering this narative, which has started overseas, seeped into bundelkhand and maharashtra, and now everywhere, with hundreds of videos floating around. May be you have a look into the reality.

And then check the sources which tells vyasa born hundreds of years before Christ, check the date of the manuscript of Mahabharata. The Rishi who himself wrote such a clear image of Bhagwan Shri Krishna will show him a play boy inside puranas ? Never ever in the Critical Edition of Mahabharata which is the most authentic one mentions Krishna to be with Gopis or Radha there is no mention in critical edition . No doubt puranas are later creation and is said to be of vyasa's creation If you haven't any proof to show, instead of arguing with me, why you claimed directly that those Are written by him ? Edit : don't be dependent on Wikipedia. Go through archeology of India site also

If your baseline is purely hard manuscripts then you don’t understand it. Veda Vyasa Maharshi has a very deep contribution by authoring 18 Mahapuranas and Mahabharat itself is a great source of it. Apart from that Bharatiya traditions are totally of Verbal transmission. This you cannot understand unless you understand the nerve of Bharat
