*Jeffrey Epstein* This channel is not underrated, it's just relatively new. There's a huge amount of equally high quality competition on YT. I've no doubt that *Brief History* will ultimately join those channels in terms of similar levels of viewership and subscriptions because he absolutely deserves it.

When a crown is placed on a king's head, he is crowned, not coronated. Coronation is the noun for the process. But it is not a verb, it is a noun. Coronated may be acceptable in US, but when talking of English monarchs, crowned is the word. Hope this helps.

Honestly, if one does more research into Henry III, I think he gets a bad reputation which a lot of it is based on his father. King John is arguably the worst king ever in England's history and having to be the next in line to pick up the pieces wasn't easy, especially at a young age. No doubt he had his own "oppsies", such as trying to gain Kingdom of Sicily for Edmund, but I think people who consider him a terrible king have to look at the larger picture. Much like I believe that Edward I is seen as such a "great" king, but I believe it's in part because he was better than the two previous ones in comparisons. Then again, Richard the Lionheart is considered one of the best kings although he barely stepped foot in England besides getting coroneted and his mother did most of the actual ruling. Which brings me to my next point, I am new to the channel and see a lot is done with the kings of England, but you should definitely do some on the queens of England. If you look into it enough, you'll find some incredible women that had just as much importance as their husbands. Eleanor of Aquitaine being one of them and albeit not a "queen" Matilda (mother of Henry II) is another.

Coronate is a word meaning crown shaped, so, presumably, if you make an object which was previously a different shape into one which is crown shaped, you coronate it, and, if it was done in the past you would have coronated it, so the word probably does exist, but has nothing to do with crowning a monarch: the verb there is definitely crown, and the past participle is crowned.

I am not an historian but though England had many civil conflicts "the Civil War" was in the 17th century - not the 13th when Henry came to the throne at 9 years old - so do not say he grew up amidst the backdrop of the Civil War.

Hello, I think you may have misheard. What was said in the video is "amidst the backdrop of a civil war". Nevertheless, the battle during Henry's fathers reign was a civil war, by definition and according to historians. My sources are in the video description, I will cite "Henry III, A Simple And God-Fearing King" by Stephen Church a Professor of Medieval History at the University of East Anglia. In his book he writes "The Magna Carta crisis resulted in civil war and then a French invasion. It was during this assault on the kingdom that John died and Henry was catapulted into centre stage aged just nine"

How many civil wars did they have?

@@AgnesC1111 Several! I couldn't say with the Anglo-Saxon kings, but after that: 1) The Anarchy (Empress Matilda, Lady of the English vs. King Stephen, 12thc). 2) The 1st Baron's War (King John vs. the barons, 13thc). 3) The 2nd Baron's War (this one, Henry III vs. the barons, 13thc). 4) The Wars of the Roses (Lancaster vs. York, 15thc). 5) "The" Civil War (Royalists vs. Parliamentarians, 17thc). And maybe 6) The Glorious Revolution (Mary & William III usurped her father James II, whose supporters were the Jacobites; 17th-18thc). England doesn't really count it but Scotland & Ireland often do, & of course there were civil wars there & in Wales.

That King John was the worst monarch of England is debatable. There are quite a few contenders like religious bigots like Mary 1 and James 2,then we have idiots like Edward 2,Henry 4 and George 3

Which educators? British ones? It is a mistake to think that only the English are interested in English history.
