Well, according to Goebbles, the past changes depending on who repeats which lie often enough, so you can make a guess of what the past will look like depending on who will get the power. I'll try: In the future worldwide authoritarian Vegan empire, the past will be a tale of savagery, where humans enslaved and killed other innocent animals like cows, bees and black people (yes, the vegans are racist Asian supremacists originating from North Korea mostly)

I may be a little late to this video but I got a story to tell. When I was in 4th grade, my class had a substitute teacher for the day. This sub tried explaining astronomy to the class and mentioned the ultimate demise of the Earth (which is in 4.5 billion years) and one girl literally broke down in tears due to that fact. I remember the teacher trying to explain to her that it wasn't gonna happen for a VERY long time and it was a whole mess.

It's vastly more difficult to predict what may be created, all we can solidly speculate about is how the things we know to exist today will end. However, with the universe cooling, and particle density decreasing and matter interactions decreasing consequently, we can definitely say FEWER things will be created. We can speculate, for example, that once all matter has dissociated, all black holes evaporated, etc, that the particles that remain can still spontaneously create consciousness, and even multiple consciousnesses that may communicate with each other, since, well, there will be infinity time left over for such configurations to eventually occur. So, life, of a sort, will still arise.

We may not have emerged as 'soon' as it seems. Keep in mind, there's only a smallish fraction of time we could emerge. Most of the duration of the universe is not compatible with life as we define it. Early on it was too hot for most elements to exist, and the latter part will be too cold and "stretched out" to support the chemical reactions needed to begin and maintain life. In the grand scheme of things, we're a byproduct of a single step of the process.

What’s interesting is the conservation of mass means even at the end of the universe, the atoms in your body will still be there
@tnspnk3
@tnspnk3 4 жыл бұрын
Not really, not the atoms. On large time scales, Neutrons will probably eventually decay (and therefore the atoms as well) and the protons will then be pushed apart by repulsive electric forces. What happens after that depends on whether or not proton decay is a thing, and if it is, how long it takes. If there is no proton decay and the proton is fundamental, then you could say the protons in the atoms in your body will be around forever.

Gregory Kosins I mean it’s not exactly nihilism. He didn’t say there wasn’t any point in doing anything because we are all going to die someday. He just said he takes comfort in the fact that everything comes to an end. And that’s kind of the way it is and there’s nothing we can do to change it. No amount of optimism is going to change it. And there’s nothing wrong with it either. It’s just the way it is. And I feel that’s an important thing. If there was no end, life would have no meaning. If there was no end to a book, what’s the point in reading? It’s kind of hard to explain.

NYC? Not to rain on anyone else's get-away vaca venue, but IMHO, for a wonderful (romantic and inspiring) trip, try a road trip from LA, up the coastal route, Big Sur to SFO, taking the breathtaking Pacific views, and Monterey, Carmel, and the wineries and then sufficient days to do San Fran justice, then on to Portland, if time permits. Of course, I can't promise anything (I'm divorced now anyway). But I promise you'd have a memorable trip and great nighttime galactic views from the Big Sur hill tops. Cheers. @@chrisramirez980 "Man-made" in the sense that the evolution of diseases is accelerated in dense populations and with world-wide travel. There are more of us and we're more connected than ever before, we've seen the evolution of diseases accelerate, there doesn't have to be a conspiracy to explain it, that's just how it goes unfortunately. It's actually thought that one of the the reasons "old-world" explorers brought so many diseases to the Americas is because the old-world developed large interconnected cities earlier
