Assalamu Alaikum. Sister if I may, & I mean no ill sentiment in these comments. If I am wrong in any of my comments, it is my own doing and anything that is correct is from Allah SWT. May Allah SWT forgive me for any wrong I say. Aameen. Islam didn't come to cap off the Abrahamic religions. Prophet Muhammad SAW was sent to cap off the Prophets, peace be upon them all. Islam was here from the beginning, all the way back to Adam peace be upon him. Every Prophet, peace be upon them all, were Muslim. They all submitted their will to Allah. Islamic theology tells us this, this has been the religion from the beginning, every Prophet sent to all peoples around the world were sent with the same message of worshiping one God, Allah, and over time, people corrupted the message, so another Prophet was sent to correct the wrongs. (Very brief view into Islamic theology. I would recommend studying this topic and creating a video on this in the future In Sha Allah as it would be helpful for new Muslims and those that are searching) Also I would argue Islam is both more like Christianity and Judaism than the others are to each other. Monotheism found in Judaism & Islam. Isa AS (Jesus peace be upon him) along with his mother Maryam, peace be upon her, are both found in Christianity and Islam. Judaism and Islam both keep the Kosher/Halal foods where as Christianity abandoned it. We see Isa AS (Jesus peace be upon him) as the Messiah and he will come back to Earth and defeat Dajjal (Anti Christ), though Judaism rejects this. These are just some points I can raise. Overall, your message was very good Alhamdulillah. May Allah SWT bless you in your efforts & look after the ummah in this life and the next. May Allah SWT keep us along the straight path & guide those who are lost. May Allah SWT forgive us of the wrongs we say and bless us for the right we say in light of sharing Allah SWTs religion. May Allah SWT give justice to those wronged in this world, if not in this life, on the day of judgement & may Allah SWT soften the hearts of those who have been misguided by the wrongdoers, and whose hearts have turned black, so he may give them hidaya (guidance). Aameen.

@@johanneshartman4618The Quran does not acknowledge the entire Bible as the word of God, only what was sent to Abraham, Moses, David and Jesus(the indjieel) ( not all of those can be found in todays bible) The idea that Jesus is a son of God or part of a trinity was stated after Jesus (by people who did not know him) and he himself never spoke about this. The Quran was what made me look into islam. I was going through a real tough spot in my life, I had PTSD from abuse. I lost my job, I couldn't leave the house, had night terrors and flashbacks. Therapy and medications weren't helping. I never felt so worthless in my life. Someone mentioned listening to the Quran in Arabic. I decided to give it a chance. Within a month Alhamdulillah, subhan Allah, I was back to my normal self. I bought a copy of the Quran in English to see what I had been listening to for a month. After I read it and studied islam for 6 months I took my shahadah. That was almost 10 years ago. Yes I have hardships in life but having islam makes it seem more bearable.

I love how our religion is so unique In how it even encourages us to accept hardships rather than look for happiness. We know true happiness will never be found in this dunya (world) . Farah, ever since I was interested in Islam I watched you videos. You deeply inspired me and I took my shahada at 14th of November and alhamdulillah, im so grateful. Allah swt calmed my heart and ever since I feel at peace. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and bring Islam into my life. Before I learned about Islam and the traits of Allah swt, I used to ask the universe to guide me. I was so ignorant to just say god. In my environment, it’s more acceptable to say “universe” than “god”, but deep in my heart I know I was talking to god but didn’t had the courage to admit to myself that I always believed in Allah. When I was younger, I thought “why did god do this to me?”, now I know he wanted me to become a better version of myself. The saying: “With hardship comes ease” is so true. Alhamdulillah, subhanallah❤️

I can see where you are coming from. But oppression is when you have no choice to choose for yourself. I was born into a Muslim family and surrounded by a Muslim community. If you decide not to wear a hijab anymore you will be considered a bad person no matter what and will be constantly ridiculed by society. Even though people like to pretend there is an opportunity for women to choose for themselves the communities are incredibly oppressive to women.
@fatimah-bh1tk
@fatimah-bh1tk 7 ай бұрын
@@starshaped. hmm I see what you mean there. but to say that “being oppress means you have no other choice” is kind of iffy when it comes to Islamic rulings. For example, if someone decides that they are going to stop praying, stop fasting, etc, it is the family and the guardian’s obligation to advise that person to seek the right path and to not forgo Islam. If those guardians decide that it is okay, and that they will accept their child leaving the rulings of Islam, and they can do whatever they want, that is actually haram for the guardians and can get them into trouble on the Day of Judgement. Because that means you are accepting sins for someone else. I know a lot of people see the hijab as a piece of cloth, something with no value, but hijab is also an obligation, just like praying or fasting. So if their family is showing disappointment, disapproval, and concern, then you have to know that it is because they care, and don’t want their family to sin. But for your example, the people you might be referencing may be very rude and disrespectful, rather than loving and guiding someone to put on the hijab. I do not condone that at all. A person that stops wearing hijab is not a bad person. But it’s important to understand that fundamentally, in the religion, people are not allowed to accept the sins of the people. And people always say “hijab is my choice!” To placate the western people into thinking Islam is not oppressive. But in doing so, they water down the fact that hijab was mandated by Allah, not them. Just like people choose to pray every day, people choose to dress modestly. But they can’t act like the practice was not ordained by Allah. And yeah, that is just how the norms of society work. If I choose to wear hijab in a bigoted area, then I will be chastised. If I choose to not wear it in a Muslim area then I will be chastised. But I don’t wear hijab for either of those groups. I wear hijab because I know it was made obligatory to me by God.
@starshaped.
@starshaped. 7 ай бұрын
@@fatimah-bh1tk you made some good points. But you have the freewill/freedom to choose to wear the hijab or not based on your level of faith. Majority of the Muslim women don't have that, they can't even consider not wearing hijab as an option. So that is oppression. I assume you are also a Muslim(if not sorry,) but the practice of wearing a hijab is for what purpose exactly? I can say from personal experience that no amount of clothing would save you from a man's lust. Not to mention that men can be half-naked and roam around without having a single person questioning them. And the guidance you mentioned by parents and community. parents, okay I can listen to them. But what about others? this guidance thing gives a lot of Muslims the false entitlement that they have the right to tell other people how to live their lives just because that person is also a Muslim, but you have to consider that every person has a brain to think for themselves. It's not other Muslim's job to bring them back to the religion, if someone wants to they will. Also, you mentioned that the hijab is obligatory, but Muslims are spread across the world. In some cultures, they don't consider hijab as a mandatory practice. So, seeking some kind of 'pure' Islamic practice in people seems pointless to me because nobody can live up to that standard.
@fatimah-bh1tk
@fatimah-bh1tk 7 ай бұрын
@@starshaped. Okay bare with me because I love having this conversation with you and I have a lot of points: this is a very interesting point you bring up. Because when it comes to “Muslim countries” that follow sharia law (I put in quotes because some generations after the Prophet Muhammad, all Muslim countries became somewhat corrupt and unfair), would you say that making religious beliefs into legal practice is in of itself oppressive? Because it’s not only hijab, it’s gambling, drinking, prostitution, interest, that are all allowed into western countries but punishable by law in “Muslim” countries because they are a sin. It’s very interesting because a lot of people are fine with these restrictions but not with hijab, and I definitely understand where people are coming from with this. Because I know the belief and argument for freedom is that “if it’s not hurting anyone, why can’t I do it?” So alcohol can make people fall into addiction and hurt their family, but seemingly the hijab is only what a woman chooses to do. But just by principle, the “if it’s not hurting anyone” is not the mentality of Islamic law, rather if something is detestable in any capacity to God. If two people commit adultery, alone, that is also punishable. The law itself is another checkpoint that can stop someone from committing sin. To say this is, in of itself, is unfair, is ultimately questioning sharia as a whole, which is a whole other discussion. Not necessarily saying that not being a hijabi makes you automatically hell-bound. But we don’t use the modern lens for centuries old rulings. I understand that there are cultures where hijab is not properly enforced or thought to be that big of a deal. My family is from Africa, where many Muslim women do not wear full hijab, loose clothes, or hijab at all. But it does not mean that hijab is not obligatory. I could give you some sources for the hijab to demonstrate that it is, indeed, obligatory upon all Muslim women. Obviously, some areas are less knowledgeable about these things. I do not rebuke them; they are my people. We aren’t perfect, and we’ll never achieve perfection. But claiming that something haram is halal is worse than committing a sin and knowing that it is a sin. Doing the former removes someone from the fold of Islam. For your second point, I am always very sad when I see people being told, from a young age, that the purpose of hijab is to deter the lust of men. No, hijab is not something that makes you responsible for sexual assault if you don’t wear it. One of the reasons for hijab is to guard one’s chastity, which is a little different than that. It’s part of haya, which is best translated to modesty or “shyness”. Muslims are too shy to display their bodies or their private parts, too shy too flirt with the opposite gender or make advances without a guardian, too shy to be alone with the opposite gender, all so they maintain their chasteness and prevent Zina (anything before marriage). That makes modesty not a “stop men from looking at you ahhh”, but something that goes both ways, where the woman is less compelled to make advances as well. We could argue about why Allah sees fit that women have more to cover than men, but I am not knowledgeable about that. But something I will say: although sick people who want to assault women don’t see the hijab as a barrier at all, hijab sends a message to people who are just trying to have a consenting “good time” with a girl. Hijab, loose clothing, along with one’s behavior, creates a “curtain” or a barrier between a man and a woman. Again I’m not knowledgeable, but I always think of it like this. For example, I have a non-Muslim classmate, who, as soon as he met me, asked, “you’re Muslim, so I can’t touch you, right?” With some of my non-hijabi Muslim friends, however, there is automatically a closeness and a lack of modesty, where he touches them, play fights with them, etc. Because of my hijab, he always tries to keep his distance, and not touch me, even when I heard from some people that he liked me. Mind you, this is great for me, because he’s one of the most good looking people I know 😭. Because I know that doing anything before marriage is haram, the distance that my hijab creates is a good thing because it keeps me conscious of my Islam, makes me remember that with my hijab, I am an ambassador of Islam; and prevents me from making some mistakes. Obviously, if you don’t like that, and want guys to treat you normally, you want to touch guys, you want to date, you wouldn’t like the hijab. But it is all with faith. I know that the hijab is a way for me to stay on my deen and stay conscious of God and to prevent sin from both parties. Again, why is that barrier placed on the woman and not the man? Allah knows best, but I have some hunches. But the situation is, are you willing to put in that faith and know that God wants the best for you? I have seen respect and goodness because of my hijab, but I have also seen disrespect and disgust from others. Again, as I said in my last comment, I do it solely for God. I hope this will make you see the hijab in a different light and clear up some misconceptions, but a lot of what I do is solely in good faith. I definite agree with you on the advising part, where some Muslims believe it’s okay to belittle and demean others in the name of “advising”. But I do disagree on one part. It is absolutely the obligation of Muslims to enjoin what is good, and forbid what is bad or evil. This is for everyone, not just relatives. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says that there is no faith until someone loves for their brother what he loves for himself. So out of love, because someone wants paradise for themselves, they want paradise for their brothers and sisters and advise them away from sin. Someone who truly believes Islam is the way of life will make sure their sisters and brothers flow so they can all go to paradise. So it is the obligation of Muslims to advise, at least once, when they see a Muslim doing something that is a sin , in a calm and respectful manner. But you’re right, only Allah can truly change what is in someone’s heart. So if someone has advised, and they do not listen, there is nothing the person can do, and it is definitely wrong to spew hatred towards them if they are not doing the right thing. But, this doesn’t mean that the advising person just goes “okay, you didn’t listen, but I support you in whatever you want to do away from Islam”. Again, if Allah (SWT) thinks of something to be wrong and a sin, the Muslim cannot accept it from them. They can still love them as a person, though. Obviously, no one can live up to perfection. But a Muslim just has to understand that they are not perfect, and seek forgiveness. That is so much better than trying to change the religion from what it is.

17:59 Minor misconception, Islam didn’t just appear with prophet Muhammad(saw). It came with Adam(as), and all the prophets came with a similar message but unique for the people it was sent to and for a specific time period. So, in reality, Judism and Christianity are both religions that result from a Muslim who, after he was gone, the people changed the words and message over time. Edit: Don't take this as an if I am trying to arrogantly correct Farah. We always take the best intention of our brother and sister, and I think it simply slipped Farah's mind. I myself have had the same thought as farah said in the video but have been correct to the correct view. It's very simple to understand how someone might forget to mention so, especially when addressing a non-Muslim population one would speak in a way that they have viewed history. Nonetheless, we must correct any mistakes we see, and if anything I have said is wrong, I would be upset if you didn't correct me. I'd be happy if you doing correct me when mistakes happen. It was either abandoned, or corrupted as time passed on messengers and prophets left this earth then Prophet Muhammad pbuh was sent to all of humanity as the final messenger. It would actually blow a lot of non-Muslims minds to find out Jesus, Moses, Abraham etc. were all Muslims and prophets sent by Allah and everything ties together.

@@Yell0wTulipsPlease clear my doubt regarding given question with reference. if u will answer all correct then allah will bless u with peace what was the age of prophet and aisha ,when they got married(nikah). what did prophet or islam say for those who (will) leave islam . who is zainab,what was early relation of zainab with prophet. does allah allowed in quran that u can do sex with a girl who hasn't attend puberty or he didn't allow? does husband is allowed to beat wife if she show arrogance or if say no for bed nd viceversa? does sex slavery allowed by allah in quran?

@Hastenforthedawm 7 ай бұрын
@@VenkyBrevis lots of loaded questions, very unoriginal ones too. The Zainab one however is interesting. I encourage you to learn about the life of Zayd and Zainab, it is utterly inspiring. There was no manipulation going on, Zayd had already divorced her by the time Prophet Muhammad (A.S.) went to marry her. Zayd was one of the closest people to Muhammad, again you need to learn more about Zayd. The situation of Zayd and Zainab led to Allah abolishing previous Pagan Arab customs about adoption and inheritance, such abolishment being highly important.
@VenkyBrevis
@VenkyBrevis 7 ай бұрын
@@Hastenforthedawm it was first time and though it was through islam that adoption is bad things. How can anyone on this earth prohibit such a noble cause. That ayat regarding marriage of zaynab nd prophet came after prophet saw zaynab with less dress in zayd house please go nd read ayat nd it's revelation order and tafasir related to it Reference- 33:37 tafasir by marif-ul-quran , tarikh-e-tibri, vol-8, page-4 . My question is zayd was prophet adopted son that's why people used to call him zaid bin mohammad by that mean zaynab was prophet daughter in law and prophet was a good man (acc to u) so atleast he might have treated zaynab as her daughter right? But dont u find it odd that prophet(ur ideal not a common person) first consider a girl as his daughter then did s*x with her. Ur allah even allowed s*x bw brother and sister(sahih bukhari, vol-4, book-55, hadith-578), so look at ur allah creation. So please do not sugar coat things
@VenkyBrevis

@@Hastenforthedawm here is something more u can check nd testify for ur reference. 65:4- child sex in quran allah allowing that u can married nd have sex with a girl who hasn't got her puberty. 23:5 -quran allowing sex slavery 81:2 - on the day of judgement allah said stars will fall on earth as like allah doesn't have knowledge of size and gravity. So decide the science in quran wheather it's a man made or almighty book. Sahih ul bukhari 5133 prophet married to aisha when she was 6 nd he was 52 nd did sex with her when she was 9 nd he was, 55. 4:34 - beating wife think about a God who is allowing that a husband can beat his wife if she show arrogance or saying no for bed but if a man did same things then a wife can't beat him nd if she disobey angels will cursed her. Sahih muslim 1403 - prophet lustful nature as he saw a woman in market nd get excited such that he immediately went for sex with zainab Sunan an nasai 4059, 4061,4062 & sahih bukhari- 6922 - prophet said whoever leave religion killed him. There are lot more like prophet married his own adopted son wife. Go nd check nd justify these things.

I was born Muslim, but I wasn't very practicing and almost completely lost my faith. I was guided back, alhamdulilah and one specific but extremely important thing I noticed is how beautiful the shahada became to me. Something that seemed so basic in the past is now something that can bring tears to my eyes if I simply think about it. When I look back only just a few years ago, Allah's guidance is VERY apparent, and it is the most precious thing that He gave me. I declare that there is no god but Allah, and I declare that Muhammad SAW is his messenger.

I truly truly truly appreciate your open-mindedness. Your not just talking about islam but religion and spirituality all in all. Your speaking in such optimism and from the heart too. You putting emphasis on having faith and belief in God, in having a purpose and in doing good deeds. Your speaking in general terms and for all audiences, not just Muslims. MashAllah may Allah bless ur words into actuality and bless ur heart for being so full-hearted and spiritually content and peaceful 💕

You've done a beautiful job with this video. I also think the best way to show the truth of Islam is, of course, through Qur'an. How to introduce Islam? Through the exact words of Allah! Alhamdulillah 🤍 I'm a new revert. Keep spreading knowledge, Farah, this dunyia needs it so desperately.
