The final video in my series looking at the costumes of the playable characters in Marvel's Avengers. Well, that's half the video. Hoenstly Ultimate Iron Looks kinda villanous, like somthing Arno Stark would wear. Put the Iron Man 2020 Gears on that suit and you have the most intimidating 2020 armor ever.

In the age of practical costumes and "tacticool", fanboy-type cahracters like kamala are a breath of fresh air, as those are usually made to resemble the more oldschool simplistic style on purpose to reference they copying their idol's look without their budget. So overral i appreciate those "lazier" costumes from that point of view... Not taht i believe the game's intetnion with those were acutally that pure.

I definitely think Gotham Knights would be a good choice since the suits in that game are a mixed bag so there’s be quite a bit to criticize. The other two are mostly good so there wouldn’t be as much to say.

I believe he went through a lot of the costumes from insomniac in his spiderman video. So he probably wont do it for the first game, but maybe miles morales and the upcoming sequel.

The main problem I have with the game’s costumes is that they can’t decide whether to be realistic or cartoony. Take caps main suit, Americana or blue justice pick a side. The recolors are better

I agree with you 100% on the Pentagon suit for Iron Man. That suit was literally how I saw Iron Man as a kid. It's my definitive look for him. The art drawn by Adi Granov is just so iconic and, along with the Ultimate suit, it really encapsulates 2000s Marvel for me

You mentioned that you don't have many suggestions for Alternate customes for Kamala because she's relatively new and doesn't have many alternative customes in the comics. That does leave room for the game to have more original customes to fill in the gap. So off the top of my head, here are some potentially decent alternate customes for Kamala that feel retively inline with her character and depiction: -1- Intentional Cosplay or merchandise of the Avengers: Kamala's a fan of the Avengers. Have her have her own homemade Avengers Cosplay or mechandise as alternate costumes. Maybe she has an Iron Man Onsie. Or a Hulk-like Suit with Foam Hulk hands. Or a Viking-like Thor suit etc. These could work as nice "joke" or less serious costumes. -2- Costumes that lean on her heritage. Many Pakistani and Indian dresses and fashion for women are renowned for their colour and designs. Kamala, so far, only has one in her Karachi dress and even that's very plain. But it's possible for even her casual outfits to now look more vibrant and colourful using this approach. Alternatively, Burkini's for Muslim Atheletes and swimmers are also a thing now. So you could use this to give Kamala more form fitting hooded bodysuits. Giving an alternative set of costumes beyond the standard Ms. Marvel and her current casual wear.

To add to your rant about the selection of female characters, I think they were gonna add she hulk so that would've been something lol. (I like she hulk it's just that it would've added to the problem of having female versions of heroes that are already in the game)

I really like the way you go about talking about costumes in this game. I think it would be cool if you do Ultimate alliance 1 or 2 next. Since each character has 4 suits in 1, each ep could have a batch of 4 characters. or something like that but I also understand that it is an older game so it might not be easy to get.

Why wasn’t Carol Danvers in this game? Ms Marvel is the main character and yet she never gets to meet her. It makes more sense for her to be in this game than Mighty Thor and Kate Bishop

Terrific work on this video series! I also would have LOVED to see Storm, Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau (Spectrum) and/or Laura Kinney (Wolverine) in this game’s roster! Recently I’ve honestly really really appreciated Midnight Suns specifically for how well it’s done (& subsequently put this game to shame) in regards to not just its own fantastic & diverse roster but also blowing Avengers out of the water on character designs as well.

As one of those comments defending casual outfits...nah, for this game, you've got right of way. The roleplaying potential falls apart with the very gameplay itself, and the variety falls apart because there's too damn many. The "casual" suit selection in Insomniac's Spider-Man games are a lot better and outline my and everyone else's points better than this game. I don't even like this game, I dunno why I stuck up for it, lol But good video! Can't wait to see what comes next. Edit: Also, if it helps, I never got a misogynistic (or any form of bigotry) vibe from your videos. Even as someone who likes Black Widow, Jane Thor, Kamala, and Kate Bishop? This game butchered them as much as the guys, and with no other female characters with more interesting movesets to at least gravitate to, it really feels like they took the worst blow of it.

The main problem with most of the suits in the game is that they keep too many elements from the main ones almost as if the devs are embarrassed by them. Hawkeye's classic suit is a prime example of this.

Can somebody explain to me why Captain Marvel wasn’t in this game? The only reason I can think of is that her gameplay might end up being just a mix of Thor and Iron Man if they couldn’t think of some ways to make it more unique, but they literally put Jane Foster in the game when they already had Thor and it was fine. It’s so baffling to me that they have Ms. Marvel as the fangirl protagonist, and her favorite superhero, who her whole persona is inspired by, is inexplicitly nowhere to be seen.

Ororo been my fave since when i used to watch x-men evolution before schooltime in my childhood Cool character, great design that you can do a lot with while keeping it cool and iconic, and also crazy powerful and smart I think if Marvel wants to push female supes more to the spotlight (which by itself is a good thing), they really should focus on those kinda powerhouses instead of 'here's this older popular hero but without the y cromossome' types.

The Wasp's lack of appearance is baffling enough for its own reasons but it's also weirder to me because they could have also included the Unstoppable Wasp character too. Someone that was actually Kamala's friend in the comics. Someone that the military-tech asethetic might actually be thematically appriopriate for. She has a decent amount of outfits for a character so recent, too. But we all know that the real reason the Wasp wasn't in the game was because she's a fashion designer and that wouldn't make sense considering how ugly everyones outfits are.

I just started replaying the campaign again yesterday, Im in the smaller crowd that had fun with the campaign..After reading alot of peoples issues with suits, stories, that go against the comics so they have a hard time with it, makes me lucky I never read the source material, saves me for movies, tv shows, games, from Marvel, Dc, to Star Wars, just lets me enjoy them for what they are, even when they suck..😂

Dorito God isn't a sexist, I think what he wants is Marvel's Avengers to fufill the power fantasy that its characters deserve. But just like the gameplay, the costumes are a core part in fufilling said fantasy. You don't feel marvelous when you're fighting AIM baddies in regular street wear or a terrible rendition of their iconic outfits. For characters, we want each character to feel unique and not just a reskin. Storm would play a lot different than the Wasp or Scarlet Witch. But unfortunately the creative team gave us 2 thors and two Hawkeyes.

Hey man you'll probably never see this but I really enjoy your costume breakdowns for the game and after hearing about how much you like the original ultimates comic series I decided to give ultimates 1 and 2 a read and I kinda... liked it I was originally turned off from reading it because a lot of people I trusted told me it sucked and how all the ultimates acted like unlikable assholes but I don't know maybe it was Bryan Hitch's amazing artwork or some of the mystery sorounding Thor but I thought the comic was pretty decent and the only character I hated was Hank Pym the rest of them were fine Also I was wondering where I should continue I was going to read ultimates 3 I heard it's was considered pretty terrible across the board even buy people how liked the ultimates

That's good that you decided to read them yourself, it really is important to form your own opinion. Most of the bad rep Ultimates gets is from people who haven't read it, so they just parrot what others have said. Ultimates 3 is legit awful, as is Ultimatum. Unfortunately, I'd say both are important to Ultimates lore so you can't exactly skip them. Well, I guess you could read a summary of them so that you get the gist. Ulitmate Avengers comes after, then it's Ultimates vs Avengers, then Ultimate Comics Ultimates.

For characters like Spider-Man or Iron Man, more well known ones, I'd let it be more varied as long as there are a lot of costumes. Like in Spider-Man PS4, where there are like 50 suits and 4 or 5 are joke suits.

As someone who didn't play Avengers, I'm surprised by how small the roaster is. I'm surprised by how sparse the amount of meaningful content there is. On a unrelated note, the background footage of miles fighting the red shield guys in that warehouse is giving me flashbacks, I hated that mission
