The orange bit on the nock is so that the archer can find it, usually the entire nock is a bright color instead of just a small bit though. So the real problem is how little of the orange there is on the arrows

To answer the question at 18:30, that part of the arrow is the knock, and its used to hold the arrow in place. People color them orange in real life so they can see the arrow better as its flying. Its orange in the game for no reason.

I'm disappointed that Kate Bishop didn't get her "Hawk Kate" look from that part in West Coast Avengers where she gets turned into a giant hawk kaiju. There are other "furry" skins, so her not getting hawk kaiju Kate is a bit disappointing. Edit: They even put Werehawk in! They skipped Kate's bird form yet put in Clint's!

I think the reason the gloves in Ronin's suit are yellow is because they are trying to resemble the Japanese Archery glove, which is yellow. There are black and gray gloves, but those are used for training purposes. The reason for the yellow color is that the gloves are made of thick leather to protect the user's hand from the arrow. However, the glove only has three fingers, leaving the palm area exposed. But, just as the video mentioned, there's no need to prioritize realism over aesthetics. Personally, I like the Ronin outfit, but I still have some issues with it (and I think the MCU suit is better, tbh).

They could do what injustice did with green arrow and have Hawkeye use his bow as a melee weapon sometimes that way it would stand out much less that the bow guy has a sword that way they could've made the sword an exclusive for specific skins so that it would make more sense

26:02 They do make a nod to it in the game. Old Hawkeye has a voice line where he says “I’m not quite blind yet” implying that his vision is failing him a bit but not all the way. I think it was a cute reference. I’ll be honest I actually really liked Hawkeye in this game. I think his DLC was my favorite and I really got into the Future Imperfect story. I found him really fun to play and make OP as well. I think that kind of helped some of his outfits grow on me.

I believe the reason they were so hesitant to change things like Captain America's sheild, Clint's arrows, etc, is because they are not always part of the characters model, they emit from them aswell. Cap throws his sheild, clint shoots the arrows, my guess is changing the model for emitted assets as well was more of a challenge. That being said, its incredibly stupid

I haven’t read much of Kate, but I did really love her from reading the Fraction run (I totally get that that run annoys you, I’m not a big Avengers fan so I wasn’t particularly attached to the Hawkeyes before reading it but I sympathize) but yeah her costumes are so underwhelming. Her costumes look their best in David Aja’s beautiful art style, but man they just do not translate well at all to an artstyle this dead set on trying to look “realistic.” I feel like since that run no one has really been able to define a particular, interesting costume style to Kate, and they don’t really show much characterization for her other than ‘she’s practical.’ Honestly the only memorable one they gave her in the game is the circus look because at least that one has a slightly more interesting silhouette. I’d love for her to get more costumes influenced by interesting streetwear styles instead of just looking like she got her superhero costume at old navy.

It’s pretty reasonable to assume Marvel gave the developers a list of characters that would be showing up in later MCU project. Like, Rocket Raccoon is in Marvel vs Capcom 3. While Capcom does have a history of selecting some oddballs that even Marvel fans didn’t really know at the time, Marvel was gearing up for the already known of (although I don’t think officially announced) Guardians of the Galaxy movie by having the characters show up in The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and MvC3. I do think it’s kind of funny someone made an Avengers game (with the actual Avengers name, as opposed to the Marvel Ultimate Alliance which are also Avengers games) with 12 playable characters and it’s not basically just the core ‘60s team. No Ant-Man. No Wasp. No Black Knight. (which would’ve been an excuse to get a Lightsaber in there) No Scarlet Witch. No Quicksilver. No Vision. Ant-Man is the funniest one since they gave the impression he’d be playable before the game came out, and already have a model made for him. Scarlet Witch is probably the weirdest one since she’d been a fairly large character in the MCU for 7 year.

Marvel gearing up for the movie is likely wise you get them in Marvel vs Capcom 3 in 2011 and The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes in 2012 ahead of the movie coming out. Like in 2010 you wouldn’t know when it was coming out, but you wouldn’t even need inside information to know a movie was in the works either.

(Kidding LoL) But no fr, some arrows have a bright color at the end because it makes it easier for the naked eye to find those arrows. But those have a dark color, so that's not it. The orange at the end of Hawkeyes arrows on the knocks is I’m guessing a result of the devs doing some minimal research into archery. Usually you use bright knocks to differentiate your arrows from others and its surrounding. However, in game the orange isn’t bright enough and the fletchings (feathers) are also plenty bright to not require bright knocks. I’d also like to add that those arrows are awfully designed and wouldn’t function as arrows at all.

I never understood Kate's inclusion in this game In these types of games ("Play as the Avengers!" "Play as the Justice League!") people usually want the cast to be as varied as possible, so if you put Superman, you should't put Supergirl or Superboy, especially in this case, where roster size is limited This is why people clown on games like Dragon Ball FighterZ, where you can make two teams of Goku's with no repeats. There was something kind of funny about this game and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 coming out within just a year of each other. Both games have original costumes designs influenced by the comics and movies, but the MUA3 costume designs are so beyond the ones in this game it isn’t even funny. And some people are like: Well, it’s not fair to compare because MUA3 is more stylized. And visually the game is more stylized. But here’s the thing about those MUA3 designs: They’re all practical designs. Captain America’s MUC3 costume could be in the a live-action movie and it’d probably be the best looking costume he’s had in a movie.

23:45 the most hilarious thing about this Ultimate outfit is that the sunglasses stretch to align with Clint's eyebrows, in the cutscenes it looks fucking cartoony how his shades just straight up emote. this is even worse then Iron Man's Mk3 rubbery knees imo.

I can only assume that Kate getting into the game before Hawkeye was just a joke on the part of the developers. Like, when the game was first announced, everyone was joking about how Hawkeye was left out of the Avenger's line up and I think Crystal Dynamics were trying to play into these jokes by releasing her first. As for why Kate's in the game at all, who knows? I do agree that she didn't really need to be here. At most, she could've been a special alternate look for Hawkeye, swapping out his model and voice lines for Kate's.

I would count a shirt and pants as character design.... Depending on the context. Tsukihime/Melty Blood has a character in literally just a white shirt and jeans. But the point was to make her look mundane despite being one of the strongest characters in the series. So there was thougth put into how boring the design was.

Underrated combo that I use you should consider is the MCU Iron Spider and Miles' Prowler suit. There's something about the material for both that makes them work so well together
