I don’t mind superhero games adding additional detail to the suits, like for example I think Spider-Man PS4 did it very well with having the suit look like the comics but zoomed in you can see all the little details, but I think Avengers really fumbled the bag with a lot of the designs based on comics

My favorite example of this in insomniacs game is the og iron spider costume, I like the iron spider costume but to me it doesn't look like armor, just a chrome suit, it's part of the reason why I kinda like the mcu version of the iron spider, but insomniac made it look like the mcu Nano tech iron man suits and I think it helps the suit a lot

Something that bothers me is that they never added the Black Panther suit from when Christopher Priest was writing him. That was a major time for Black Panther when a lot of the things associated with him were introduced. During that time he was wearing what was basically the default panther suit for a long time pure black bodysuit, long cape, big ass collar, gold claws, and a gold necklace and gold bracelets.

Honestly, I don’t think the original concept art for the iconic suit looks that bad. Don’t get me wrong, it shouldn’t be the default, and the one we got is way better, but honestly, it doesn’t look militaristic to me. It looks like medieval knight armor. That would be a cool unlocjkabel alternate.

I think Shadow Physics is his best comic inspired skin, I like the recolour with the red mask too, that would've been my favourite if they added texture to his claws, they look incomplete lol You're completely right about that skin being green, it's annoying that a game with this many recolours didn't give Black Panther more black skins with silver/gold highlights. The civilian skin having a random military belt is annoying, however the recolour that makes it gold makes it less noticeable. His Civil War suit is the best he's ever looked but the solo movie suit with the added bulk looks great in this game too imo.

Idk about you guys, but from what I understand, t'challa is a king. So when I see him in a decked out suit wearing a cheetah skin cloth around his shoulders with gold all over, that's probably a dope looking design I've ever seen for a superhero. I have never played the game bc "great value" vibes, but I like seeing different approach to a lot of characters to get a better look at what's new. I second this. Fortnite Marvel skins seem to mostly lean on either incredibly faithful or modernized in just the right ways. Only criticism I can find at a glance is that Fortnite's Captain America suffers from the same problem as in this game: he needs heroic proportions. He looks too much like just some dude in cosplay.

Tbh a lot of the suits you said you didn’t like looked good in my opinion and you seemed a little bit too nitpicky for some of the masks and suit designs when they looked great. I think battle damage suits should be in superhero games, especially them as the hero is always fighting and it would make complete sense to have a battle damage suit even if it doesn’t look good. I think it’s more of the Raw design of it. Some of the suits you described make it sound like you were saying bad things about it just to say it but I know I actually just want it to sound that way. opening was hilarious good vid
