A Brief Recounting of the 504 Sit-In

In the 1970s, the disability community fought for their first legal protections against discrimination. The passing of Section 504-and the sit-in that followed-paved the way for the ADA and shifted society for the better. While there’s still much work to be done, it’s important for us to look back at our history and celebrate how far we’ve come!
