I was born a year after Rebecca died, but i remember reading on her story years ago and being sad that her life ended the way it did. The fact they were able to access her information that easily was disturbing. Its even more sad that it took her losing her life for laws to change. RIP Rebecca

Robert was obsessed with Samantha Smith until her passing in a plane crash in 1985, that's when he turned his obsession to Rebecca. Plus him having access to her address should have never happened. RIP Rebecca, I was 9 at the time of her passing.

I vividly remember hearing the news of her passing on tv here in Puerto Rico,cause she was the first famous people I've heard that had the same name as me. I was 14 years old in 1989.

I remember this case all too well. This happened around the Summer of 89. I never watched My Sister Sam but I do remember around this time USA Network was airing the reruns of this show. I only knew who she was unfortunately from this incident.

I was in summer camp when this tragedy had taken place. I was so happy about being a Batman fiend and then I heard about Rebecca Schaeffer. 😔 My Sister Sam was her big break. She was a beautiful bright light that dimmed too soon. The director of Moonlight Mile Brad Silberling dated her prior to her death. Moonlight Mile deals with unexpected loss. Fortunately, Silberling later dated and is still married to actress Amy Brenneman. She looks somewhat like Rebecca. This was a premeditated and SENSELESS tragedy. RJB deserves the worst of EVERYTHING in prison! 😡 No wonder I NEVER liked Catcher in the Rye. The story bored me. Rest in heavenly peace, Rebecca Schaeffer. 😔🙏🏾❤️🕊️
