'TUM DIL KI DHADKHAN MEIN REHTE HO' (You Live in My Heart) is a soulful track, and the words of this song are poetic. I adore this song. There are two versions of this song, and this version comes in the second act of the movie post 'Anjali's' marriage. The film opens with this song where 'Dev' (Sunil Shetty) is seen expressing his love to 'Anjali'. He then sings this song again to remind 'Anjali' of the love they shared, but she rejects him - again - later on, and this rejection takes a turn. The drama in this film is heightened up to a point, but I don't know if it's in the realm of soap-opera - if you watch Indian TV shows, then this is very mild drama. But you need some drama otherwise it's difficult to get your point across, and Indian films are passionate and emotional especially when it comes to love - they cleverly tug at your heart strings and eye ducts! I would recommend watching 'DIL KYA KARE' which also stars Mahima Chaudhry in a lead role, and she is magnificent in this film, as is Kajol. The songs are beautiful too in this film. Hopefully you'll get to react to these songs at some point :)

@@TheCamerad Ha ha absolutely 😁 I think 'EASTENDERS' is a great example of British melodrama and maybe even 'CORONATION STREET', but I think 'DYNASTY' from the good ol' eighties era would count as great Western melodrama, which I love 😀

Such a fantastic film. This song depicts Shilpa shetty coming to tell the man she used to love (Dev) but was not able to marry, that they can never be together as she is pregnant with her husbands child and he must forget her as she loves her husband and he is the only one for her. The woman in the background is in love with Dev but he does not know. Dev thought that Shilpa Shetty's character was leaving her husband to come back to him
