People don't take into consideration either that progress isn't specific to each exercise it's the workout as a whole. For example if you do a back workout going all out and get one more rep on just one exercise whilst still hitting the same weight and numbers on all other exercises as the back workout before then you ARE progressing in your back workout. Those small increments matter, as soon its another rep on another excercise, and another, maybe a few weeks time its 2 more reps on one, and 1 more rep on others as well as / or a weight increase. You dont have to be progressing on every single movement every other week

Good to see some more traditional back exercises in! Nothing quite builds density like it, plus cable and machines bore the life out of me.

4:28 even if you perform bent over rows with poor technique and your lats aren’t being worked to their fullest potential (ex: swinging too much or your lower back fails but your lats had 3+ reps) you’re still building your erectors/deep spinal muscles that can only really get targeted from bent over hip hinge exercises. The lats will be covered by other more stabilized exercises.
