Of course there are a ton of anime tropes in it and i think it's great for that. After seeing all the available seasons i can safely conclude that this MLP generation is 30% anime 30% Powerpuff girls and 40% a combination of a ton of things from greek mythology, pop culture, brony contributions, celebrity ideas, memes and others. Quite the amazing combination if you ask me.

I'm honestly unsure how teleportation works but later when Twilight practices with Starlight Glimmer they go to multiple locations we've never seen. They DEFINITELY could've teleported back to the castle...unless one or both of them had slight magical exhaustion because situational reasons or fear of whatever fake Cadence really is...or something.
