That sounds incredibly fun... or incredibly painful. 3:06 I too was surprised by the choice of "boo-boos" there, and by Rarity of all ponies(people?), the one with the most sophisticated vocabulary. But I suppose they were going for a joke based on subverting expectations, so I can give it a pass. Also, I have to wonder if it was a wink-wink-nudge-nudge reference to Past Sins, where they cut it off before saying the whole thing just like Apple Bloom's almost Applelicious chant in Pinkie Apple Pie. (Just because the writers don't read fanfiction doesn't mean they've never heard talk of the most popular titles. Heck, lots of people have heard of Past Sins, Fallout Equestria, Cupcakes, and a couple of others without ever seeking them out.) Love your taste in music even more now. That orchestral TTF cover you chose for your post-movie discussion is one of my all-time favorite pieces to come out of the brony fandom, and probably the most replayed track in my entire media library. How hard did you have to look to find someone who disliked RR to include for a more balanced collab? Before this, I hadn't seen even a single person who didn't like this movie at least somewhat.

Skan was the first person I collaborated with and the first friend I had as a brony. He's got some content of his own but technical and personal issues have so far kept him from updating. In the original script, I also pointed out Rarity's Jimmi Hendrix costume but I scrapped it because it felt more superfluous than funny. But I was equally surprised nobody else pointed out the Sergeant Pepper costume. The Dr. Evil, Dark Knight and Scott Pilgrim clip jokes were Skan's ideas. I just handled the editing. The Sailor Moon joke was me being a terrible person again.

Sweet. Didn't expect one on Rainbow Rocks. Boy, you guys played off each other well. And now I know Irish John is his own channel; for the longest time, I thought it was either you or your friend from your Crystal Empire video - Buck Wild, I think it was... Either way, those skits were funny. As for the movie itself, I thought it was good. Definitely better than the first Equestria Girls. (Review time!!! Purely opinion-based, as per normal) Story: We get some more backstory for Star Swirl the Bearded, in that he has also fought against a great evil or two and not just the Princesses. While the concept of a movie based almost entirely around music battles, there wasn't a whole lot of battling going on. Pacing was much better, and there was actual buildup to the final battle against the Dazzlings. All in all, pretty good in this department. Not the best, but not bad either. Rating: B- (8.1) Writing: As ***** pointed out several times, there are several cliches and plot conveniences. But most stories have at least one cliche, and for the most part they work. They're overused because they work; that's how I see it. (New stuff is still preferred, but cliches work as well, as long as they're not relied upon.) As for the plot convenience...I got nothing. I'm split down the middle as to whether the characters were the best or worst thing about the movie; on the one hand, we have Sunset Shimmer get MUCH better development and we have a genuinely intimidating (and rather creepy) villain who, in my opinion, trumps all previous villains in the show. On the other hand, we have Applejack constantly berating Rarity about the outfits not really mattering, and flanderization in the case of Rainbow Dash - as if she *needed* any more ego boosts. Fan-service was actually done well in this movie, as pointed out by our comedic hosts - I'm with you on Derpy's instrument, Brawny. As for why I think Adagio is the best villain, see Jerry Peet's video "Glass of Water - Who Was The Best Villain?" Here's the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHimi4eOaJtkmK8 Rating: C+ (7.8) Imagery and Music: You can tell the animation crew has gotten better with animating the human characters; That's what I think those Rainbow Rocks shorts were for: practice for the staff. (Celestia and Luna's ridiculously long legs still bug me, though.) The songs have me split down the middle; some I like, others I don't. The title theme here, while I like it better than the first Equestria Girls theme (eat your heart out, Skan), I still just skip it. That last fight, though, was the best...okay, *second* best final battle in the series (that goes to the Twilight vs. Tirek fight), combining awesome animation, great buildup, good music, completing Sunset's redemption as a character, and showcasing the Mane Six bolstering up and winning an actual battle rather than pulling another McGuffin out of their plots to instantly win. Rating: A- (9.2) Ending: Sunset is earning respect around the school, the Mirror portal is now available at literally any time, and the Human world's Twilight is now taking an interest in the strange goings-on at CHS. I like this ending; bonus points for hinting at a sequel. Rating: A (9.3) Flash Sentry: Yes, I'm making a category strictly for the stallion everypony loves to hate. My original opinion on the guy after the first one: All he needs is a personality and we're good. My opinion now: Okay, the human Flash Sentry is toast in my book, so let's get something going with his pony version. You can still salvage this character, Hasbro! One last chance! But as for his performance here...Meh. I'm sure some people will now say that there's a legitimate reason to hate Flash Sentry now, after his little outburst at Twilight. I have a counterargument for that: the Siren's power involves sewing the seeds of conflict in order to breed negativity, which is the source of their power, making them even stronger. I think it was just the Sirens piquing everyone's competitive side and making their desire to be the best now a burning obsession. And when someone gets in the way of something you've been obsessed with, it's only natural to last out like that. And since he was basically under the Dazzlings' control, he wouldn't think about trying to apologize. Yes, I said something in Flash's defense. *Flame Shields Up!!!* But yeah, I'm still not all that impressed with his role in this movie. The potential's there, but it's diminishing with every failure. Rating: F (4.0) Alright, time to average things out. Overall Score: C (7.68) Not the movie, but not the worst. I'm just waiting for the next one (likely at the end of Season 5) to hopefully get something gold. (holy sh*t, that was long...) Not much else to say here other than you guys did good. Wait...didn't I already say that?....Eh, oh well. Can't wait for the Moral of the Story for this one, Brawny. I'll be waiting.
