This game is so fun, especially testing out the different powers Concrete was probably the one I ended up using most in the end-game There’s Smoke, the standard ability that lets you phase through objects and enter air ducts There’s Neon, which gives you Super-Speed, eventually you can unlock the ability to run infinitely, add that with the max speed you can get for the ability and you feel like The Flash. You can also trap enemies in stasis bubbles, causing them to freeze temporarily There’s Video, which lets you summon glitchy demon minions, you gain wings that lets you swoop through the city, a laser blade, invisibility and can travel through antennas There’s Concrete, which essentially turns you into The Thing. You can crush anything in your way and cover your entire body in rocks, causing bullets to bounce off of you There was also a mission where a character has Origami powers, sadly we never obtain that ability in-game

Infamous: Second Son was amazing when it released on PlayStation+ - one for the few reasons online subscriptions weren’t a completely bad thing. So the basic breakdown of Infamous is essentially the X-men with a slightly more limited power set. Conduits (referred to as Bio-Terrorists by the government) are all capable of manipulating and absorbing a specific form of matter. The protagonist of the first Infamous game: Cole Macgrath was capable of controlling and absorbing electricity in any form: natural or otherwise. A conduit typically can’t use their powers without draining it from a source. For example: if you are a lighting based conduit, you need to absorb a source to electricity in order to store it for later use. If you run out to juice, you need to absorb more electricity to recharge your batteries. You could drain a cellphone, streetlamp, car battery, or even natural lighting if you please. Second Son takes place seven years after the second Infamous Game: Infamous 2. The protagonist Delsin Rowe had inherited his Conduit powers after getting caught vandalizing a building with his spray painting skills by his brother: Reggie Rowe. After a short scuffle with the leader of the DUP (Department of United Protection) Brooke Augustine, all of the members of Delsin and Reggie’s Akomosh tribe have concrete shards forcibly melded to their bones. Augustine is also a conduit, capable of absorbing and manipulating any form of concrete. Now with newfound purpose, Delsin seeks to track down Augustine and drain her of her powers to cure his friends and save their lives. The appeal of infamous aside from the super powers is it’s morality system. As the title entails, you can become infamous. Being a superhuman doesn’t necessarily make you a good person, and abusing your powers will make you gain infamy - while saving innocents and holding back against the DUP will earn you the respect and adoration for he people, making you a Hero. The NPC’s in game will shower you with attention to ask for selfies, or even throw rocks at you or run away on sight depending on your behavior in game. My personal favorite example of infamous behavior lies within the drain system. Let’s go back to the lighting example: Recall how a lighting conduit can hypothetically drain power form any source of electricity? Well it just so happens the human body gives off electrical impulses constantly, we do so just by thinking and moving. I’m sure you can see where this is going… When it comes to heroic behavior, it’s a good thing to note that conduits have healing factors. By absorbing their given element, they heal exceedingly fast. This effect can also be applied to civilians injured in DUP shootouts, as they don’t exactly care about casualties. You can even restrain DUP troops instead of executing them by simple gluing their body to the ground with a constant wave of low temperature heat, kinda like how you get pushed around when the wind blow super hard. Infamous: Second Son was an excellent ride, I highly recommend grabbing it and it’s prequels if it’s on sale. Who doesn’t want to be an X-men? Also, if you were a conduit, what form of matter would you base your powers off of? Personally? Can’t go wrong with Pyrokenisis. Plus The Human Torch and Ghost Rider are some do my favorite fire users in fiction.

The only limiting factor is the fact they have to recharge but there's ways around that as seen with the beast and characters like Cole if you choose to be evil since Coles electric based ability allows him to absorb the electrical signals in a persons body that keeps it running like the electrical signals in someone's brain etc but he can only do this if you choose to be evil. Cole arguably has the most versatile electric based ability in fiction because he can use it in various ways compared to electric based people from fiction like black lightning who can only absorb electricity and fire it off or use it to fly. Cole can not only absorb electricity from any electrical source but he can absorb it from living beings if he wanted and he is so versaitle with it he can use it to create magnetic fields to lift things around him using his mind, can even read minds by accessing the electrical signals in someones brain , can heal people by increasing their healing properties using his electricity etc.

I'm glad you're checking out Infamous. The first 2 games follow Cole McGrath. A conduit caused by being in a massive explosion and gaining electricity based powers. Cole tries to figure out if he wants to be a true hero, or a tyrant (hence the series being called Infamous). In Second Son, we follow Delsin Rowe. Delsin is one of the few conduits after Cole sacrifices himself to stop the Beast mentioned in Infamous 2 (Cole being a true hero in the second game is canon). Delsin has the power to absorb other powers, throughout the game you have an array of different powers. Delsin's main power is smoke, which he is granted when he absorbs a conduit named Hanks' power. Fetch has the power over Neon, and has her own game Infamous First Light. First Light is a prequel to Second Son, and Sucker Punch's last installment to the Infamous series back in 2014.

Infamous 1 and 2 tell the story of Cole MacGrath who gains electricity powers and sacrifices himself at the end of the second one. This new character, Delsin Rowe, is a graffiti artist on an Indian reservation when a DUP prison bus crashes Delsin touches one of the prisoners and learns he can mimic the powers of other conduits. Most of the game involves Delsin and his brother traveling around Seattle liberating districts from DUP control and recruiting the escaped conduits to take on the leader of the DUP who is also a conduit.

A little background for the game. Due to reasons from the first two games, people with powers or "Conduits" started popping up. In a short amount of time, the wrong people with powers started causing a lot of death and destruction. As a result, Conduits, now dubbed "Bioterrorists" are being rounded up and incarcerated without parole or trial. They are called "Conduits" because they are conduits of, typically, one element. For example, in this game, there's a conduit of smoke, neon, video, and concrete. We also, through collectables learn that there are conduits of wire and glass. In a side mission, we meet a conduit of paper, who just so happens to be a zodiac-esque serial killer. In the past, we've seen conduits of lightning, ice, oil, tar, and junk (they instead call that last one telekinesis, but I think it's more control over metal than anything else). The main character of this game, as you picked up on, has the unique power of being able to duplicate the powers of other conduits through touch, which you saw when he got neon powers. They don't have unlimited powers. The conduits have to absorb their element to recharge. The developers just don't show that in the demo gameplay usually.

I never click so fast to witness you both react to “Infamous” content as the games are amazing and Second Sons is a beautiful game to take place several years later after the 2 one with you playing as Delsin Rowl as he is the new “gifted” person that have powers given to him by touch. The pervious games have it being a gene and control Electrical style powers. Highly recommend checking out “Infamous”, “Infamous 2”, “Infamous 2: Bad Blood” and “Infamous Second Sons: First Light” as it’s a big series to go by. Also I am hoping Sucker Punch do a remaster of the old games to newer ones since they done amazing job in Ghost of tsushima that they should use their graphic design to brighten old game with a new design. 😁😁

Infamous was one of those games that once I played the first one, I instantly bought the 2nd one... and when I found out I could get Second Son when I got my PS4 on day one, I bought it with no hesitation without even knowing about the trailers. @@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Lore-wise, Conduits of that matter (or energy, abstract, whichever else they manipulate at this point) manipulation would just go much quickly instantly even further. but it is just a short-ranged and slow radio-waves kind of higher jump escape method. you Can't infinitely literally fly too like those like Eugene, etc, because....you/we have a playable character. yeah. as with Gameplay balancing developers Want to say anyways. (and would be kind of boring if one were to just infinitely glide all over the entire map that easily without having to use Neon dash, or scaling very short skyscrapers ever again. not like I would argue that. a small tip (just in case): there are a few methods on how to stay in the air longer than a Minute though (mostly just speaking about IF:SS only. because as Cole, we can't fly....yet. Lore-wise), but yeah, it's not literal forever kind of flying.

In the first 2 games an item called the Ray sphere exploded and spread the conduit gene to certain people. The conduit gene allows people to absorb and manipulate a specific element. In the very first 2 games, the player, cole McGrath had electricity powers. In infamous second son, delsins conduit gene allows him to absorb powers from other conduits with the very first one he gets is smoke. And neon was the pink laser power that he gets in some of the trailers

As someone who has the platinum for this game and plays it every now and then I can say it's an amazingly fun game and totally worth a playthrough, also to answer some questions, conduits in the infamous universe are people born with the ability to control manmade elements, smoke, neon, video, concrete ect. (The soldier he was fighting that would jump away was infused with concrete powers). The main character, Delson rowe has the unique ability to absorb powers from other conduits, but to a slightly less powerful degree, at least in gameplay. Honestly I would recommend checking out more infamous stuff in the future.

To answer some of your questions, this franchise takes place in alternate world where people possess the conduit gene. The conduit gene allows manipulation of certain elements. The elements highlighted in this game are smoke (what Delsin, the main character, is using at the beginning), neon, video, and concrete (someone else help fill in if I forgot any). These people (identified as Conduits) are usually hunted by the government since people tend to fear what they don't understand. Delsin is also unique in this universe in that he can swap the power he can manipulate, where as every conduit they have ever introduced in the series has control over only a single element. Although, admittedly I believe Cole, in InFamous 2, did get some ice powers on top of his electricity, but it has been so long I could be mistaken.

I loved this game back when it first came out, I played the hell out of it; I especially loved the powers you get in the game and how you got them, you start off with one and then acquire three more after defeating other Conduits (that's what the main character is and why he has powers) Delsin (the main character) starts off with smoke powers, as seen here in these trailers; later on, he can acquire Neon, which allows him to run super fast leaving streaks of neon light behind him, Glitch, which was my favorite power personally and changed appearance depending on your alignment (giant blue sword for good, giant red claws for evil), and Concrete, which I believe would be pretty self-explanatory!

Conduits have a specific material or energy source and can absorb then manipulate it for example because delsin has smoke as his first power he can go to any fire and steal the smoke to both heal any injuries and restore his ability to use his powers and because smoke has embers in it he can also to a smaller extent use it to control heat thus he can basically coat his chain in embers to superheat it then beat people with it. however every conduit only has 1 resource they can use and they can be very specific or pretty broad (except delsin because his power source is conduits themselves as far as I can tell and when absorbs them he gets their powers and the ability to absorb their resource). The conduits powers I remember are smoke, glass, paper, concrete, wire, electricity, blood?, And neon. As for what conduits are they can be born like normal people during the time second sun takes place but that has something to do with some great world ending super conduit thing stopped by the previous games protagonist

The game is really fun there's two Routes in the game hero or infamous (aka villain) the game and mission are the same but the personality of delsin ( who you play as ) will change by Wish routes you play being a geed guy or bad guy

(let alone able to replay any main Campaign, side, etc missions on the same saved data and not have to just manually do a new game save experience instead). Gameplay-speaking, would have been more fun. (yet they added that and an official multiplayer section in suckerpunch's samurai IP instead?.... some Conduit-players have been wanting those in-game features before any Past future releases of infamous games had been officially launched, but Unfortunately we didn't. I can't described it well, but: imagining during a multiplayer freeroam scenario running around the seattle map with multiple other Delsin's (other players) consecutively each spawning a lot of virtual wingmen in just 5+ Seconds or something as we unleash such a digitalized army towards a DUP stronghold location. but that would be overkill....

in the gameplay trailer there is no hud so you can't see your 'ammo'. abilities need to be recharged by absorbing (in this case) smoke from any source that is around you. spots are marked on the minimap or just smash a car with melee to make it go boom. you start with the little shots first then unlock other abilities that can also be further upgraded. for the big ultimate you have to do a certain amount of mayhem/kills to have it available. you can become a hero or renegade depending on the choices you make within the game and what you do in the open world - attacking civilians will shift you to red... bringing down drugdealers will give you blue points.

This was the 1st game I had when I bought the ps4 way way back when and I loved it. Definitely used the controller well in my opinion and since it was my 1st I was beyond happy with my purchase. I think I stayed up all night playing that game. The only other games I stayed up all night playing were resident evil 2 remake and Spiderman( the original and miles morales) called off work to play re2 remake too lol

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames a little clarification for you. Battleborn is a MOBA shooter which has a good mix of melee heroes and gun toting characters. Additionally, each character levels up over the course of a match and has a choice between two augments per level gained so you can tailor a hero to your preferred playstyle for that type of character, but when you play a new match you will be reset to level one and do it all over again. Lastly, you might be thinking Battleborn is like overwatch, it is not. They may have been released around the same time but Battleborn is more true to the MOBA formula than Overwatch would ever dream of being. Overwatch has more in common with Team Fortress 2. I hope this information has been helpful.

conduit is a nicer name for bio-terrorist and the conduits some got experimented on but the main character got his powers by accident when he came across another conduit...his power is called "smoke" thats why his body can disperse and he can go into vents but as u saw in one of the trailers when he touched that girl he got her powers which is neon and we saw him absorb the neon lights...so in game as u go on you meet 3 conduits i believe making u have 3 different powers and when you complete the game u get a 4th power which belongs to the main villian of the story (also this game features choices/paths were u get to decide if you wanna be evil and a criminal and being awarded for killing DUPs and civilians because conduits are outcasted and seen as terrorist or u can be a good guy saving lives , spreading positive messages in the city through graffiti and u get awarded for knocking out DUPs and not killing, your powers change slightly depending on your path so the player gets to choose )

This entire series rules so hard. HIGHLY recommend, Second Son's visuals also aged like fine wine. Colorful and gorgeous. There are 3 main games and 2 side games. The order is inFAMOUS inFAMOUS 2 inFAMOUS Festival of Blood (Halloween special if you want to save it) inFAMOUS Second Son inFAMOUS First Light (serves as a prequel to Second Son, but it really is better to play it after) For ease of recording, Second Son and First Light are easy to get to and won't really spoil the first 2.5 games. But I do recommend trying them, especially if PS5 ever makes the update that allows you to download PS3 games instead of just streaming them.

The best way to explain conduits is to think of them as marvel mutants Conduits who work under the goverment would be like the x-men, and are used as the unit you send for extremely dangerous stuff Conduits who act independently are called bio-terrorists, and are (understandably) extremely feared due to how crazy unpredictable they can be with their powers In this case Dhelsin's power is that of a sponge who can copy other conduits powers by touching them

Gurl, you wouldn’t believe me if I told ya but there’s a lot like a lot a lot, some are easy to use some are hard to use and some are just out right busted, and conduits are people born with powers they just have to either be in a dire situation or they just use it out of nowhere, back then you had to be in the middle of a big bomb go get powers but now you can just get them if your lucky enough, or be like the kid and “share” their power with you, only few conduits can do this, which is super rare but getting powers is even rarer so it’s rng basically but yeah great reaction and great vid love y’all

Just like Bethany says, people who suddenly shows super powers was the by product of a rogue experiment and most of them got killed including the protagonist of first series when activating a device that kills all conduits so as to stop an evil and unstoppable conduit villian. However, the damage done by these people, especially the villain adequately called beast, was seens by the people around the world, and some of the conduits survived. Department of Unified Protection or D.U.P was founded to arrest and contain "bio-terrorists" with extreme prejudice. However, they become authoritarian group, restricting the populous. The second son's protagonist, Delsin was just a normal punk with a thing for graffiti, until he stumbled upon upturned armored car that was transporting arrested conduits. When grabbed by one of the escapists, he realized he is the conduit too. However D.U.P with it's leader Brooke Augustine arrive to catch all the escapists. Augustine is a conduit but ironically, she is hyper-conduit hater. Sensing Delsin is hiding something, she interrogates/tortures him with her powers, materializing concrete spike inside his legs. When he would not talk, she threaten to torture his town's neighbors. Whether he confess or not(one of the key good/evil choices), she continues to put spikes at the WHOLE TOWN, leaving them dying a painful death. After realizing his power is actually "copying" other conduit's powers, Delsin and his brother Reggie set out for Augustine, both to copy her powers to heal his folk and for some good old revenge. The first power he gets is the iconic "smoke", but later he also gets "neon" as one of the trailer shows and "computer" where he meets a nerdy conduit who can materialize computer character into the real world.

you guys should react to the first 2 infamous games, which second son is a direct result of the first 2 games. cole truly overcame great adversity after being branded a national terrorist, after accidentally setting off a small nuke in the middle of times square new york and destroying 7 strait blocks. cole was also the strongest conduit ever, before delsin took the title, even though he couldnt absorb different matter like delsin, he could literally absorb electricity and manipulate it, completely mastering it and briefly mastering the power of ice. he could call electricity from the sky and create tornadoes. like cole was a walking force of nature, if it was storming outside, he was basically immortal because he could control the lighting and get power from the atmosphere itself. a true hero. the world was also in great chaos because there was also a worldwide plague killing million of people a week and conduits were immune. so humanity was actively dying out by the tens of millions per month. so cole actively had to weigh the life of people who were outcasts with supernatural powers, that understood him against ordinary people who were dying from sickness, like his family. cole overcame being hunted by the entire country and otherwise sacrificing himself when he couldve created a race of conduit only species by unlocking the conduit gene, by causing great physical trauma which is only apparent in about 1 in every 100 people, he had the choice of going on a worldwide genocide in order to wipe out ordinary people at the expense of awakening the powers within the 1% of the population, and still gave his life and defeated the beast, which he had the choice to become. cole was buried by his best friend in new orleans where he had a giant memoral building constructed and named after him and was named new orleans newest patron saint. cole and several other of his friends who had the gene gave up their life and the life of even people who had the conduit gene unactivated around the world died instantly. theyd done it to defeat the beast and protect humanity. this is a series you guys would love because it was the first series that delve into the concept of moral, you had the choice to do good or evil. a wise man once said, "if you want to see the true character of a man, give him power", and we saw what kind of man cole was.

The story itself is choice based, you can be good or evil, the way the powers work, is, you can have basically any matter based power, you can use for example, electricity, smoke, concrete, glass, paper, neon, video, and in very rare instances, there are conduits known as "The Beast" because it is very, very powerful, but there was only 1 that had that ability, I strongly suggest you guys try playing through it if it interests you, it's such a good game, and you learn about the powers, for some people it's just a dormant thing that needs something to trigger it, others can just be born with it.

If you wanna know what infamous is about, it's a choices and options game, you can either be the nicest guy in town or a complete d!ck to anyone and everyone around you. Your powers also change depending on what path you take, example: if your good your smoke powers will have an orange white hue, if your evil it will go red and black. This game is fun however it's considered one of the lesser titles in the infamous series, especially compared to the first two.

The Infamous series is quite the gem that unfortunately doesn't get much attention anymore. It's a great superhero game with superhumans called Conduits as you picked up from the trailer and morale system based on your actions, using your power selflessly or selfishly (hence the name Infamous). A cool power system where you have to absorb from a source based on your character's conduit power. Electricity from batteries, power boxes, lamppost, and so on. Smoke from car exhaust, fires, smokestacks, and the like. While I enjoyed Second Son, I've always been more partial to the first two for the PS3. Hope you eventually get around to checking out some stuff from the two original games.

Yayyyy Infamous. Infamous is one of those forgotten franchises that definitely deserves a remake or remaster in my opinion. The first two infamous games centered around a different character Cole McGrath who has electricity powers. Cole was a bike messenger delivering a package which turned out was actually a type of bomb called the "ray sphere" that activated the powers of people that possessed "the conduit gene" but at the cost of committing mass murder of regular humans upon detonation (think thanos snap but theres certain people immune) but in case you guys wanna react to the cutscenes or something I don't wanna give away too much about the story. I actually don't recommend playing the first 2 because as unique/fun mechanics they had in the games and the first game having one of the best openings to a video game ever, gameplay wise...the first one was pretty ROUGH the second one was better but it still carried some of the same issues the first one had, Second son and first light were definitely the best

There is limited power to the smoke ability, just like the original first and second Infamous, the limitation is a bar that keeps decreasing each time you shoot or do a charged shot, although in Second Son the charged shots are instead consumables, it was a decent game to platinum, no co-op however, and as you saw, you can have more than 1 ability, but in order to activate your preferred ability, is to get it from a source (Smoke ability from any burning car or vent and Neon ability from any Neon signs), there are 2 more, the last one you get by finishing the game, the Concrete power you see the soldiers use is actually given to them by a conduit, the antagonist of our protagonist and leader of D.U.P, just like the last games, you do have a karma meter too, you have to go a specific route in karma if you wish to unlock specific abilities, like Evil karma for much deadlier bullets.

Btw, all the powers that the protag gets, it's by ignoring personal space and "stealing" (although not exactly because the conduit he takes them from still have their abilities.) I think you're gonna enjoy seeing the 3rd conduit, he uses his powers in a pretty flashy way.

I'm still praying they will port this game to PC. The originals were really fun to play when I still had a playstation and I loveeed the playthrough of this one I watched back in the day I looove the way to do the powers for Delsin he was such a cool character and so were the other "bio terrorists" you get to meet in the game. I would say its only flaw for me was the cookie cutter "It's open world so we have to put in a bunch of collectables and 1/20 "events" you can complete" in the game. similar to the spiderman games where there's a bunch of things you can do but they're really all the same thing over and over. Not mandatory, but still. Yes his brother is a cop. If I remember in the beginning he still a bit brainwashed by the evil corp's propaganda. I don't remember how they get powers, but I know that the evil corp is capturing these people to take their powers and use them for their military. Hence why there were troopers using these earth powers. As far as i know there's no limit to the powers people can have. All powers from characters you meet are heavily personally influenced. Even when Deslin takes/learns/copies these powers they still change to fit his own style more. (Also to add Delsin is unique in being able to naturally copy/take powers from other users as far as I remember)

As long as the collectibles are fun to do and the rewards for getting them help power you up, that’s fine with us. What we liked about the Spider-Man game was that the missions helped unlock more than just cosmetic changes. Like each suit had a different power in addition to a new look. 🙂😀

Realistically, Neon energized capabilities (as far as Conduit-players know, guessed, etc) would be much faster. (12:11). probably not on the levels of flash speedsters, etc, but much more quickly. of course the visualized portrayals of those in-game action of them is limited. at least in IF:FS, Abigail shows that much faster speed compared to Delsin's experience of Neon mobility.

Augustine, she's in. but she did said again: 'sometimes you have to fight [fire] with [fire].'. and that no surprising, but Unfortunate, that such practices (integrating small parts of the more Humanity side friendly-controlled personal army of super-beings to be comfortably put alongside the the still conventionally non-Conduit militaries of that world) has been done by those like america's DARPA, 𝘸𝘢𝘺 before such practices of the DUP (mostly those under Augustine's influence....and methods) were around. and that was during the slowly but eventually rapidly growing public awareness of the infamous Earth's Conduits kind of event, like that of Cole. and said-public know much a bit about him alright. sarcastically-speaking: Mocking him, Lies about him, covering ups about Conduits, etc. that we remember. I remember the first two games sort of being overshadowed by the game Prototype, and its sequel back when they released, but I always thought the Infamous games were better, and kind of flew under the radar. Second Son wasn't as good imo, but it's still a fun game, and evolves the gameplay a bit with new powers (the first two games just had electricity powers, Second Son has Smoke, Video, Neon, and Concrete) and I also liked the main character a lot more here, the first two games' main character was really generic and boring to me.

It kind of surprises me how much I've forgotten this series when it used to be my all time favorite. It was only my favorite until this game which I didn't like. I'll try to be as non spoilerly as possible but the plot is that in previous games a shadow company that controlled the country developed this thing that could give people powers. It did this by absorbing the souls of everyone in a wide radius and for people with potential it unlocks hidden powers. They had our main character of those games deliver it unknowingly to the center of Empire City (New York) and he gained power over electricity. In the second game some else's power is awakened and they gain the ability of the device that gave them power in the first place taking some of our guy's power in the process. Our hero escapes though and tries to regain it and then some. All the while the other guy follows and goes on a rampage turning every city between New York and New Orleans into a crater where maybe 1% live and gain powers. Hence the animosity towards them in this game. However at the same time some rich dude in New Orleans is trying recreate the MC's situation and gain god like power and awakens a few other people. This guy figures out a way to give other people a small piece of one power users power to normal humans which is relevant to this game. Although the second game had two wildly different endings. One where our hero becomes the villain who continues in the previous villain's foot steps. The other that this game follows involves the awakening of people all around the world without them knowing in some cases and the weaker ones dieing. But the vast majority of power users didn't need other humans only those in the east coast where the west coast ones are pretty much just mutants like X-Men. However they get the same prejudice as those who had hundreds, thousands, sometimes millions of souls put into them and the ones who use their power to cause trouble. Anyways I didn't like this game much just because the game play wasn't has fun and the powers didn't feel as well thought out on top of switching between them not being a thing without stopping. It feels better but everything outside of that doesn't play out as good as previous games. Not to mention the story especially if you go evil. Previous villain routes were understandable as bad as they were. This guy just acts like a child throwing a tantrum which I could understand him being a kid. However previous games were about you basically being a god and deciding if you want to act like it or be a Hero. I would love it however if the next game called that out the child behavior and let us be the guy who takes him down.

Bio-terrorists are Humans with "unnatural" abbilities. As far as i know they are born with them, but not sure how it got to that point. Every Person has an abbility that represents his character. The D.U.P cleared these People as Bio-terrorists, they actually try to capture them for the safty of the "normal" Humans. An interessting mechanisim in the Game is, that the view of the people for these called "Bio-terrorists" is influenced by the players desicions and acting. If he goes around murdering people for fun, the town turns against the super-people, if he saves them and be an actual hero, the View goes into his favior For Our main Chrarakter, he uses not fire, but smoke, that why he can go through vents and charge his power by a burning car, because he just sucks the smoke in, but that not even his abbility. His true abbility is copying the abbility of other.

As much as i love this game, it slys in comparison to the original 2. I played all of these games when they came out and got all the trophies so trust when i say there is nothing more legendary than the story of Cole Macgrath and choosing your path with him. The villains, the characters, the story, the soundtrack, everything about 1 and 2 make second son look mid at best. The only reason second son is a thing is because most people only played the good path and i believe that limited a lot of things the devs could have taken the story.

There are older games that go into more detail but bio-terrorists or conduits have the ability to control elements. Like Smoke, Neon, electricity, and paper etc. Delson (I think that's how his name is spelled) is very special as he can have multiple ability and can obtain them just by touching a conduit.

How conduits came to be was because of a massive explosion caused by the main character in the first game which also caused a plague that affected non conduits.

Second son is a sequel to the two infamous games. Apparently the developer chooses the storyline for Second son based on the ending most people picked for the second infamous game. Each infamous game had two endings. A good guy ending and a bad guy ending.

or a good choice path. try to do so, definitely. even if just watching an all cutscenes type of showing of any/all of the indamous franchise's can be enough already.
