Well done, informative segment on express cruisers. You cover a lot of details even an experienced boater might not consider. Thanks.

Here in The Solent (southern England) we have Sea-Start, our equivalent of your Sea Tow. I believe they’ve been just as busy this side of the pond. Our recreational boating usage has exploded during the Covid Era and training requirements have gone through the roof and I have no doubt that Sea Start have experienced unprecedented numbers of call outs with the increase in vessel usage. Just to put it into perspective Cowes Yacht Haven (probably one of the busiest and well known marinas in the south of England) was full up for short stay (up 4 hours berthing) parking by 12:30 as I crept into the last available berth in the whole of Cowes on a Saturday in August. It’s kicked into winter with a vengeance now here in UK so enjoy the warmer US weather while you can. 👍🏻👍🏻

Wow! Some information here that I didn't even know to look for. I just assumed one or the other. For example: Bathroom fans - how is this not standard? Salt water toilet - Is this a thing? I had no idea! Some points missed, but you might cover them in the next video... Generator fuel type same as engine(s) Does it even have a generator Engines - do they have enough power AC - separate zones or one Engine controls - joystick, engine controls on both sides of the wheel, one for each engine (makes dock maneuvers easier without any rudder movement), 2nd docking station at aft, bow/stern thrusters Headroom above beds(makes it difficult for certain activities) Type of kitchen appliances (sucks to run generator every time you cook anything) Engine maintenance access Dual vs Single engine

Charlie Odom If youre buying a 30-40 foot boat, would you even bother cooking anything properly most of the time? There's so little space. I'd buy outdoor meals like Blåband. Just pour hot water in the bag, mix it up and eat from the bag. Easy, convenient, fast and no mess to clean up. And when you want fresh cooked food, just dock and go eat at local restaurants. Secondly, if you got fridges and freezers and AC and phone chargers and TV and music etc going on, I doubt youre gonna be able to run all that from a 30-40 foot boats battery, atleast for long.

How come you guys never talk about the noise level dba when the boat is cruising. That was my biggest mistake when we bought our express cruiser.

Thanks a lot, Capt. Steve, for this nice and helpful overview. I am between a 35 foot coupe and a hardtop express. My main concern ist the climate in the coupe at hot summer days while anchoring or lying in the marina. Is it getting too unpleasant in a coupe? Thanks a lot for your suggestion!

I wish somebody, anybody, made an offshore capable dual console with a full-height windshield in the 25-27 foot range. Like the Pursuit 295 but about 3 feet shorter.

3:38 Welcome to advertising in the 1980's. No offence. It just reminds me of 1980's movies like Scarface and 1980's James Bond.
