First time commenting on this channel, although I have watched every video since inception and truly appreciate what Rob and Chris do. They really go out of their way, to produce interesting videos about their niche, repairing cars and generally giving cars, vans, boats and bikes a second lease of life. They show what true value means. They work hard, day in, day out. Not being greedy and in my honest opinion representing values that have unfortunately been lost in modern society. When I see people here in their armchairs making insulting comments, it really saddens me. If you have nothing nice to say, then don’t say it. I appreciate not everyone is interested in a boat being cleaned, but there is no justification in being rude towards people. @Rob and Chris - Please keep up the good work. You are an amazing team.

These chemicals are a game changer. My brother-in-law used to work for a company and he manufactured similar products that were so much better than the stuff you can get from a shop or diy store. I’m guessing that the stuff you are using is pretty much the same quality. What a difference it makes! Shiny! 😎

The boat has come up brilliant fellas Chris looked the part with his boating cap on. Have used jenny chem products previously and have been impressed with the results, also it has been a good advert for karcher products 👍 especially the way rob bounced the boxes through the gates. You should have some good fun with this when you get it back on the water 💧 stay lucky and healthy looking forward to Saturdays video 📹 already 😊 ❤

It is very satisfying to wash off years of grime to reveal the hidden shine! I bought a Citroen Romahome camper that had been parked up under a tree for nearly six years, it was much worse than your boat, but a bit of TFR bought it up like new, a good machine polish bought it back to pristine condition, I sold it for four times more than I paid for it 😁

That was satisfying just watching all the crud come off the boat. In a way I think that lot protected the surface from the UV, not that we have had a lot of sun this summer! It was a very good idea to try the different products and see which one was best as you could have picked the wrong one and caused yourselves more problems. Thanks Rob and 'Captain Chris' for another great video despite the odd sound glitch. Well done with the filming too. 👍👍

Tfr is awesome stuff, we use it at work although its a different company, we mix ours up in a weed spraying system, big enough you can still carry it around the car, but massive coverage, a whole car in minutes, its a bit of a pain on black cars if you let it dry though, awesome job with the boat so far, looking forward to Aquaholic making a appearance

I found while polishing boats you have to go super aggressive to get the gel coat to shine. Much more than you would with a car. I got the heaviest if the oxidation off with a rotary, 9 inch 3m pad and Menzerna super heavy cut compound. You will get hazing/holograms after this. Return with a DA polisher and a good quality polish. You will have a good finish then. Protect it with a good sealant because it will oxidise quite quickly without it.

ordered some snow foam off jennychem when it arrived there was no labelling on the container so had no idea if it was what id purchased or directions for use, i emailed them i got no response, guess they aint interested in the little guy washing his cars on the drive, wont be using them again, but great vid though fellas

Big tip for the polishing the fiberglass get some solvoautosol chrome polish it’s the best for gelcoat

When Chris was saying we can’t spray in on and do the entire thing it will dry out… that’s what a decent snow foam is for - bilt hamber touchless is exactly what you could have used it’s amazing and would have worked on a much larger area

We have a 1995 motorhome with a one piece fibreglass moulded shell. Just like this. Cover your eyes and ears. Bucket of cold water with 20% thick bleach. Work it into the stained areas with an extending car wash brush and leave it for 20 mins. Rinse it off with a hose. Done.

Also another tip, when you come to refit the out drive check the gimbal bearing if in any doubt change it, if it fails it will sink the boat.👍it’s in the bellhousing.

I recently used some JennyChem TFR, not sure which one, on one of my vintage Ferguson tractors. It stays outside and had a long term diesel leak. Brilliant stuff as was some of the weed killer which has certainly given the stinging nettles and Russian Vine i my garden something to think about!

At 1500 quid you basically bought a boat trailer and got a free boat! Amazing value. The fact it’s been in the Lake District means fresh water use which is great news for engine internals. Those trim tabs look brand new.

And now there is a clean boat. Not for me, I get seasick in a bath!! Just a thought...it might have been interesting to see what the jet washer did without any chemicals at all. Chris looked so at home up in the control tower, but we all know there is nothing he can't do. I believe in most films there is a Captain and a deck hand with a mop...I say nowt!! Great video. lovely little boat i used to work ina boat yard cleaning and polishing used to use 3m fine compound watered down with water 5050 on a mop go gentle so u dont burn through alos can recomend international polwax which works on the top side after u have clenaed and buffed this brings the shine rit ebk and protects against uv bit like finishing car polish does on a car to get the crapoff the top warm soapy water and a stiff brush and some elbow grease lol
