So glad it works for you. I have been testing for wicks and I had in mind to go with wooden wicks for my new product but none of them worked... I got some really scary big flames...:-( so I went down the double TCR too and it works really well for me too (in CB advanced). Are you seeing a higher than usual burn rate with the double wick?

hi again hun :) sorry for all the questions but i've started using this wick and its perfect but the only problem i keep getting is cracking directly around the wick its a tiny circle around the wick where the wax attaches to the wick almost ... it happens with all my different scents, different percentages and also in different jars i have been told a heat gun will sort it but wondered if this was something i can do to stop it so no need for heat gun lol do you get the same with these wicks ? (maybe its the wax i'm using) thank you xxx

I am struggling finding a wick 😭 I’ve got a 77mm diameter tin abc I’ve tried so many different sizes tcr and the flames are all so high and flicker so then I tried double wicking with them but the tin got so hot and also full melt pool in an hour so too quick! I’ve also tried eco and Lx wicks and no good either, I’m lost with what to do! I use cosy owl fragrance and ecosoya cb 135 wax, have you tried any other wicks then tcr that worked well? Xx

Hiya sorry to hear that, which supplier did you get your tcr from? Have you tried the London luxury double wood wicks, they’re the only ones left I’d recommend trying xx

What do you think of a brand called SMALUCK on amazon? They are cotton and soybean. They look braided maybe like the ones u used to have.. Ribbon wicks. I am testing them and I find them really good

Hi Stacey! I've tried them wicks on the same containers. I don't know what went wrong but the Big Jar did not reach melt pool and the Small Jar reached Melt pool in just under an hour! Also, they were mushrooming that resulted tiny black particles that floating on the pool. What do you think went wrong? I've got ecosoy 135 and supplies for candles TCR. TIA xx

Hmmmm I’m not sure huni, I now use however two wicks I’m my jars. So far I’ve decided on 24/12 Luna 24/14 salacia TCR series. But this could change (wick up or down again) as I do further testing xx

I’m testing TCR’s at the moment and did my first test burn yesterday :-). I have 3 candles, same everything except wick sizes. One of mine has mushroomed bu the other 2 haven’t. I also think I may need to reduce my FO %. I did 10%. Great Video as always, thank you 😊 xx

Hope your testing goes well, I found that TCR wicks mushroom really badly for me and smokes a lot. Currently looking for better ones!

@@asklana1414 thank you. It’s only one size that seems to be mushrooming. I’m only on my second burn of my first test so I don’t expect it to be right yet. I’ve also got stabilo wicks almost ready and Eco ones which I haven’t tried yet. I don’t seem to be getting a full melt pool at the moment so not sure what to change first...wick,FL etc. It’s all in the name of research and testing :)

@@michellegracey559 Hey Michelle, I'm also in the testing phase. Have you joined the DIY candle beginers to advanced? They are super helpful with trials. Which are the TCR wicks that you are using, wax and diameter? I found that TCR 27/26 worked for me for 7.9 cm diameter jar with eco wax. Hope it helps! IG:@myminimalco

@@mariaocampo7240 hey Maria! Thank you for commenting. Yes I’m in that group. My jar is 78mm diameter and I’m testing cb- 135 and CB-Advanced. Advanced wax seems to be better, 135 had sinkholes in all 3 candles. 🙈. I wish there was a mentor opportunity somewhere but a lot are in the USA. Hope you’re getting on ok with your testing? X

@@michellegracey559 ​ Oh we are using similar items, I'm using the black and clear Karen jars 30cl. I'm testing also those waxes and ecoco. I started with cb135 and in my case, I prefer this one, but advance is very nice too, just lower adhesion. Can you believe eco cb 135 was available on Craftovator? I was going JUST NOW to buy 20 kg, went and added some TCR wicks just for fun and it's gone - AGAIN! I'm crying inside so hard right now. Kerax told me they would re-stock in May x.x

Randles candles stock the Cambridge jars, currently out of stock but they say they have no plans to discontinue. They may be available by summer.

Yes I saw Randall's do them too but I'd be worried that eventually they may also struggle to stock them so as much as I love the Cambridge amber jars and lids I have decided to go with a different vessel 😊🤞
