Glazing putty is like $6 a tube. And you can also use epoxy and gribd it with an 80 grit on your dremel or angle grinder carefully then use a 150 and then a 300 and then high build primer. Then just knovk it down smooth with a 400 and then 600 real quick and the. I always wet sand with a 800 and paint it with two coats of coler and let cure and then spray your clear. One thing mist that is even and covers everything you are painting, the n i do a second medium thick one that is my final gloss and that is a show quality finish usually unless the weather or trees get to it. Lol

Time is money. By the time you remove the item, fill, sand, paint etc, and pay for glue and paint, you could just buy a replacement part. And the time is just to take off the old part and put on the new. It is a good idea if new parts are not available.
