It was almost like he'd been in the game since the 2010s, running around in that 70s Skyline; the audacity he had to live by his own rules and not those of the Chinese World Order. He lived for the speed, the exhilarating dream of the car guy in 2033, the dream everyone insisted was long dead. He was out for his own freedom, and soon, for that of the world. He was no shill for big oil, nor was he out to hurt anyone, but the media wouldn't allow anyone to come to that realization. He knew there were more like him, more who shared the passion of speeding inline sixes. He remembered when the V12s disappeared, then the V8s and then, when no one thought the establishment could stoop any lower, the 6 cylinders were finally killed off. Again, he was no big oil shill, he just lived for a passion you could never expect these billionaires and politicians to understand. Arguably if big oil had their way, that city he lived in would be unsustainable for life. Hell, for different reasons you could argue it still ended up that way. You have people who secretly wanted to chop the Dear Leader's nuts off but didn't have the balls themselves to say it. They smiled in the cameras and praised the Dear Leader while dressing in such a way that kept their Project 33 tattoos hidden. They wanted change too; they feared for their lives. I was there, you know. The day he left the city. I saw that Skyline roll out and I knew he meant business. You just didn't roll out there with your exhausts the height of the car or your spoiler the size of a small person and not expect attention from the thought police. Especially not if it was over 50 years old. I heard the boos and jeers from the balconies around me as that car rolled out. I paid no mind. And I knew he didn't either. He was on a mission that day, to save us all from the tyranny of the CCP. Because this was about more than just cars. And he knew that too. Ever since the pandemic back in 2020 it's only gotten worse. Then the war between us and China. God, how the fuck did we get here? From wearing masks to combat a deadly disease to fighting a fucking new world order. It still drives me insane to this day. When the CCP took over the United States they pretty much owned the world. No one ever tried undo their tyranny; no one in the government at least. And we know now that when you can't trust your government to solve these problems the only way to fix the system is to destroy it first. And he was the exact kind of guy we needed to get that process going, one of the main reasons being that everyone hated him. The least pejorative thing I'd ever heard anyone say about him up until that day was that he was a 40 year old man still trying to be a rebellious teen. Unsurprisingly I never had any respect for that kind of talk. People are done when they say they're done. He pulled out onto the street and flashed his lights at me, in my old '96 Impala. That was the moment I knew the revolution was soon to be televised. Looking back I'm pretty sure he wanted it that way.

Payback tried be fast and furious and gave birth to the rooster of stubborn, annoying unlikeable main characters, whereas heat tried be cool and had teenage like narrative which is awful. Ok, I've got two potential timeline here depending upon how mystical one wants to go, both timelines spring from one origin however so I'll start with that. Main Line: 1994: The Audi Quattro Sport S1 seen in the Group B Legends video has it's accident and is forgotten about. 2006: A accident by some government or another is blamed on climate change, issue is this is a massive disaster, this combined with the rising interest in electric cars culminates in a push in a small part of France for only electric cars, while rather small the movement starts to take hold. 2012: Bunta Fujiwara starts to flag in health, this combined with Takumi being out and about causes the Tofu shop to start taking fewer orders. 2014: Bunta Fujiwara closes the Fujiwara Tofu Shop as the area around him is slowly abandoned by people moving out. 2018: Following a Shipwreck and Team Breakshifts Nissan 240sx is lost to the ocean. 2019: France becomes the first nation to ban non-electric vehicles on the road, most see it as a foolish mistake and refuse to follow it. 2019: Hoonigan Pizza Company is founded and begins rising in the local area. 2019 (December): Bunta Fujiwara passes away although Takumi is given the rights to the Tofu Shop the recent loss and the sight of his old 86 still sitting there cause him to leave the Tofu shop and try to forget about it. 2020 (January): Germany follows France in restricting the roads to only electric vehicles. 2020: (September): By September most of the E.U. has followed Germany and France. 2020: Somewhere in the mountains of Japan an A 90 Supra goes over the edge of the mountain, the person in the car survived but the vehicle has been deemed unrecoverable, it slowly becomes a legend around the local area. 2020: (Last weeks of December): Following the rise of a large group of Anti-Combustionists in the local area destroying some vehicles Hert hides his Twerkstallion in a barn, saying that he wanted to bring it to a safe place to work on it later. 2021: (First Week of January): Following Hert standing up to a group of Anti-Combustionists that were attempting to break into the Hoonagin Pizza Company he is left in critical condition after one of them pulls a gun. 2021: (Second Week of January): Although he lives Hert took some minor brain damage, nothing major was lost, Hert merely has some minor memory problems, unfortunately, he is unable to remember where the Twerkstalion is even after full recovery. 2021 (Late May): Clashes between Anti-Combustionists and those defending their vehicles heat up across America, politicians are pushed to do something about the violence. 2021 (Early December): Following an attack on Anti-Combustionists by those who had their vehicles destroyed by them the American media blows it out of proportion, the following outrage causes the national government to ban combustion vehicles in an attempt to curry favor, although the backlash is immediate and very vocal, unfortunately, due to Geo-Politics the American government is unable to rescind the ban. 2023: A 22' Nissan Z is rolled into a junkyard in Japan, over the next five years this vehicle and one known only as the 'Blackbird' will appear interminably upon the Wangan. 2028: Following a spectacular crash on national television the new Devil Z is rolled into a junkyard and never seen again. This crash causes the Japanese government to clear up the formalities and ban all Non-Electric cars. With this, the entire world has banned Combustion cars. 2028: About a week after the Crash on the Wangan an attempt to modify an electric vehicle goes horribly wrong, the resulting detonation causes a total of 42 deaths and is caught on a popular television show made by those who wished to enjoy vehicles after the ban on Combustion cars. This causes the banning of modifying vehicles. ----------------------- From here I see two possible timelines, one with mysticism and one without, due to the current lack of lore the first timeline is a lot smaller, first the smaller timeline. (Human Grit) 2033: In western America, an old friend of the Hoonigans manages to finish his last piece of work, he knows that he will probably die for this and his baby certainly will but he is determined, with the turn of a key he fires up his car, and for the first time in almost a decade the streets of San Fransico are graced by the sound of a combustion engine. Although inevitably caught and thrown in jail his act of defiance inspires others. 2036 (Early January): A rebelious teenager finds an old Audi Quattro in his grandfather's field, after getting some friends to help they get it up and running within a month. The fields of Germany once again ring with the sounds of a rally engine. 2037 (Late June): Over the world, old enthusiasts and those who grew up on old legends start to notice others refuting the bans, slowly but surely more and more return to the roads. 2045: While diving an enthusiast finds Team Breakshifts old Nissan 240sx following some less than legal salvaging it is brought back up from the depths. 2055: Deep in the mountains of Japan the local legend of the A90 Supra is brought to a peak when it is found. 2065: The Twerkstallion is found and restored, due to the risk of getting it destroyed if taken on the road it is kept at a secret location. ----------------------------- (Machine Spirit) 2029: In the mountains of Japan the last of the street racers are caught and arrested. 2033 (Summer): A pair of police officers on Mount. Akina are astounded when a vehicle goes past them, although they attempt to catch it, it slips away. 2033 (Late Summer): After almost a month of weekly appearances the 'White Ghost Of Akina' is seen racing a different vehicles, some of the people recognize it as an A90 Supra. 2034: Late one night an old blue Combustion is rolled into one of the last junkyards in Japan, although the purchase and selling of Combustion engines has been outlawed for five years, it is sold within the week. 2035: Six months after the illegal sale the vehicle is seen on the Wagnan, its dark blue coloring and headlights stoke the memories of a few, two days later when the Combustion is seen again it is accompanied by a pure black car. 2036: Although it's location was lost Hert swears he saw his old Twerkstalion on his way to work, two days later it is seen doing donuts out front of Hoonigan Pizza Companies' primary offices, although the police investigation is tireless no answers are found. United by a drive to find whoever restored the old machine the Hoonigans start a search. 2037: Somewhere in Germany farmers start to report seeing an old rally car running across the fields, although it is regularly seen driving through fences the fences it drives through are untouched. ----------------------------- There we go, you could make the two timelines into one, or keep them separate of course this is only the abandoned vehicles and such from @Project33 but this little timeline kept me busy and made me happy, I may attempt to add new videos to the timeline should they work with it. Of course this is all on the condition that Project33 does not ask me to stop.

When I was manifactured, we were designed for few things. Raw power. Uncontested freedom. Rebelion against what was acceptable. They told us we weren't right. That we weren't economic enough. We were too powerful. They shot us down like dogs. Just like the natives back when we were wild mustangs instead of hunks of steel on wheels. I still am one, though. I've been running free since 1969. They couldn't bring me down like the rest of us. I was always an upholder of justice. Three generations of detectives, from the somber streets of Chicago, to LA, where crime roamed like bogeyman, and even overseas, to a place where my kind hardly goes to: Japan. I've seen a lot of action. A lot. I've plowed into many things, been riddled with countless bullets, got rammed in so many ways... I kept going. I had to. If I stopped, they would be right, it would be fact that I had no place in this world. I kept going for so long that I probably wasn't the same Mustang that left the dealership all those years ago. A lot of my parts were changed. My chassis, oh it kept running. But the law that I worked hard to uphold, decided that I was illegal. Unwanted. A menace to society. I was like a gunslinger at the end of the wild west. Still running. Still fighting. Fighring those who I fought with. Who I fought to protect. They chased us out, my current owner and I. For years I watched cars change around me, and just when I saw the last of us get killed off before they could shine, I met the ones that they replaced us with. Soulless, heartless, faceless machines. I managed to run away, they still took my freedom away. It was no longer about me still kicking around despite whatever happened. This world was simply not meant for me. It was over. My owner couldn't risk losing me, so... I've been sitting in this god awful shed for years now. Waiting for her. Angry. Vengeful. I know what they did with my kind. Their screams, they echo into my shed at night. Crunching of metal, sad roars of what was once cars freely tearing it up on this mountain I reside in. I bide my time.

Remember this everyone: One of the scariest phrases you can ever hear is "We're from the government, and this is _for your safety."_ Also remember, that "its for your safety" was also used in WW2 Germany, and its being used now. The parallels are uncanny, and we seem to have forgotten history. Again.

Wow what an accurate video. Cars are symbolic of freedom and are potentially weapons or tools of resistance, while modified cars a form of self expression. The government don’t like either, so they’re desperate to replace all analogue control and mechanical parts with computers on wheels they can remotely shut down & track 24 hours a day. If you were a dissident who tried to run in one of those you’d never stand a chance.. Much as I love cars I think it’s a symptom of something far worse that people who don’t particularly care about cars and motorbikes don’t understand in the slightest

First there was the skyline in Japan, the first gas vehicle in over 30 years seen on public roads. Then the rumors started flowing. A Quattro screaming down the autobahn, a angry fiat wailing and popping as it flew around the neglected side streets of Rome. A ragged Nova with a blower standing tall and chrome lurking on the American highways. They stood tall, and they burned bright refusing to give in, refusing to lay down and surrender. Refusing to let the soul of their mechanical family fade away. More started appearing, a 49 mercury in California, slammed and it’s flathead 8 burbling angrily. A rx-7 tearing up and down Tokyo, it’s wankel a monument of noise, of presence, of life on the sedate silent roads. A R32 yellow and proud rampaging through Berlin, the iconic vr6 singing a proud anthem. A ‘70 Camaro stalking the roads of Detroit, protecting the hallowed grounds of motoring legend. It’s 454 shaking windows as it passed. A vicious little Kia angrily challenging those who dare taunt it, it’s turbo v6 singing a sweet taunting song down the roads of its homeland. They all stood together, to protect their right, their livelihood, their love of combustion. They challenged all. They respected only those who shared their passion.

If we ever get an NFS underground 3 I really hope it's based on this concept it would be an actual ring of underground tuners and racers. I could imagine that you start with a completely stock car you can't modify since you can't get parts but as you win races you would make connections with other racers and crews, allowing you access to underground suppliers and tuners to modify your cars. As you progress maybe you would also get more attention from the police and public another cool thing might be that once you reach mid game and you're quite deep in the race scene your hunted down by police and are forced to choose between carrying on as a Racer or joining the police for some kind reward and betraying the friends you've made and the tuners and crews that you've formed connections with leading them to put a price on you head or police doing the same thing should choose to remain loyal to the racers
