A cesarean section, or a C-section, is a surgery to deliver a baby via the abdomen.
A c-Section occurs when a physician determines it to be a safer delivery option for the mother, baby, or both. Mothers may also choose to have a plant C-section, called AN ELECTIVE SURGERY, usually scheduled at 39 weeks of pregnancy. Also, women who have given birth via a cesarean section are often advised to give birth via a C-Section for the next baby.
Common indications for C-Section include:
Labor Dystocia: Labor Dystocia can occur when the baby's head is too big to fit through the pelvis.
Another indication for C-Section is placenta previa when the placenta wholly or partially covers the opening of the uterus.
Sometimes The baby is in breach position, so the feet are down instead of the head down.
A prolapse of the umbilical cord or fetal distress before full cervical dilation can result in a loss of oxygen to the fetus and may even result in a stillbirth.
Also, when a mom has twins or even more babies at the same time is usually an indication of a cesarean section.

It gave me chills while watching just the animation of the procedure, can't imagine how it would feel to the mother.. Let's pray that every mother goes through the safe and normal delivery, and if it has to be a C-section then let's pray this would become less painful and traumatic for them..❤

I had an open myomectomy 7 months ago. And my doctor told me to wait 3 months and try for a baby. I waited 6 months to be on the safe side. I just found out I'm pregnant 5 weeks. My doctor told me because of my surgery. All of my births will have to be by C section. I'm a little scared. And I pray all goes well 🙏

Just had this procedure 2 weeks ago. Both me and baby are doing fine but I am still in recovery process. Sneezing, coughing and laughing were so painful and impossible to do the first couple of days. Thankfully my husband helped me a lot during recovery because I couldn’t even go to toilet myself . Those who say it’s an easy way of giving birth truly doesn’t understand how hard it is for us mom who have this done. Part of my body is still sore and numb till now and I know someone who feel the same for over 6months. There’s really no easy way of giving birth, please respect anyone who have to choose this option and stop C-section shaming.

I have mad respect for women that have birthed this way. I’ve had two vaginal deliveries, but my nephews were born cesarean. Her first baby was an emergency cesarean, so it was very scary. Her recovery for both was hard. I mean - the mother has a MAJOR level surgery, PLUS caring for a brand new baby. It all sounds incredibly difficult. It was hard enough for me with a vaginal birth recovery - with a tear to heal. That was very uncomfortable, but probably not nearing as bad as a whole abdominal surgery to heal from. It’s amazing.

Yes, they usually have a hard time bending over and someone has to hand the baby to them. A relative of mine I had found out got ppd and anxiety b/c she mostly had to do stuff herself after her c section. She said it was to the point she was on meds but she is open about it, which is good.

I had C-Section five years ago in California. I experienced zero pain and zero discomfort from beginning to now. The only very small inconvenience is hard to do #2 because of pain medication for the 5 days after surgery. I stop pain medicine on day 6 and everything still zero pain. My son at the age of two jump up and down on my tummy and I do not feel any discomfort. Medicine was great then, I’m sure it is greater now. At first, I hoped for natural birth so I experienced a brief few minutes beginning of natural birth, that pain was a big discomfort. I respect woman who go through natural birth for hours to meet baby. What a warrior. I feel like I cheated since it was so painless. Feel like I come in and get a baby and come out.

Animation is accurate except for the blood and amount of pai n days/ weeks after surgery.. To reduce bleeding before the uterus is cut, the blood vessels feeding the uterus is occluded first, otherwise the patient can bleed to death. Also fluids are given through the vein during the surgery especially when spinal anesthesia is given .

My elder daughter is 21 ,my son is 14 and little daughter 9 months. My last cesarian was incredible easy ,I mean after anesthesia I felt myself really good. My doctor was the best doctor for me. After surgery I went home next day. I just followed her advices that's all.And as I understood ,they wont give permission for normal labour ,if woman has previous cesaria.

VBACs (vaginal birth after Caesarian) are actually very common in my country (NZ). Women around the world manage to have successful VBACs in 70% of cases according to international literature. The success rates after 2 or more are much lower as many health care providers do not offer VBAC due to the risk of uterine rupture.

A VBAC is very common and tons of women go on to deliver vaginally after having a c section previously

Could you please make a video on how to recover from constant pain at the site of spinal injection. I do yoga, dance etc but now I know that it requires something more to stay clear of that nagging pain, it is not good feeling

No one ever mentions reason I had to have a c-section. My first was traverse, its like having a baby that is breached, but they are turned sideways. My water broke, and they had no way to turn the baby.

Had a C-section 4 months ago. I was supposed to have natural birth but having dry labor hurt twice than the normal labor 😭😭 I was begging my doctor to do it and she did after realizing that pain killer was ineffective already to me. She found out that most of my amniotic fluid may have leaked already. I didn't experience that "burst of water" by the way. I may have pee it little by little 😅😅 and I only stayed at the hospital for 2 days. My wound opened due to coughing and soon I found ways to minimal the pain during my coughing. Walking hurts and it felt like you have huge heavy bag in front of you and that can burst open anytime 😩 By the way, the wound was healed already but it feels itchy and it hurts during cold weather.

My mom went through 2 c-sections for my and then my brother. Each it took her days to recover and it was so painful right after the anesthesia is gone, she needed morphine or something to had it bearable. Thanks mom, sorry I put you through that (my foetal position was on the side, I was laying horizontal instead of being upside down like a normal baby 😂😅 I like to think I was a little stubborn rebel already in the womb, which I grew up to be a little now hahaha.

He had to. He was killing more babies than we ever could before medical intervention allowed us to defy him. Lots of C sections happen because the birth would result in death vaginally

Wow... Watching this hurts me, cause' i know when I grow up I'll feel this pain. And it's just unbelievable how mothers can carry 3 or 4 twins in their womb... And I was also an C-section. I heard it from my dad yesterday, and I can't stop thinking how my mom handle the pain she did for me. This video made me sad, greatful, and special. 😄

The skin incision will heal on weeks, but the inner cuts will take about 6 MONTHS to heal!! Its CRUTIAL to understand that for 6 months the body is still healing, and specially the first 4 months the mother MUST avoid carying anything heavier than 7 kilos and should never LIFT (specially from the ground) nth heavier than 4 kilos....I prefer my patients to avoid at all. 4 months fly by....you will be exausted, sleep deprived....the las thing you need is a surgery complication, an infection....
