HDD - Hard Disk Drive or Hard Disk Device is a literal spinning metal disk, like a CD but harder. So the thing you hear spinning inside is not a fan, is a Metal disk spinning at 5400rpm. And the clicks you hear is a needle going from side to side. That is why it has a maximum speed limited by the spin. SSD - Solid State Device is storage on silicon based chips. It has no moving parts so it can be much much faster than a HDD. Normally 10x faster.

Japan was nice, but the Alps were outstanding. Wyoming also has some very good areas on the boarder with Montana. I also went during the Winter, so I'm guessing Japan is more green in other seasons.

Camping and fire? We used to take a nearly empty vaseline jar, inject a little lighter fluid in it, a little mixing, smear the mix onto the wood items you're going to burn. Light a tissue and enjoy the fire. Also, in the 80's, pre internet, the military flew me around the world. I always had a new or used Clive Cussler book to keep me company.

HDD, you are right, but more space capacity for the price, compare to SSD. SSD faster. better for Video editor or doing any type of rendering since it can write and read faster than HDD. Commonmly HDD are use for backup storage and SSD for on hands work task.
