I really appreciate the camera work at the brocante. Some Châtelains / vloggers sweep over things so quickly or show mile after seeming mile of stuff most people would throw away. You curate the best items or at least the ones you like best. I usually agree with your choices. There were many lovely items to be seen this time. I just snatched a beautiful cast iron scroll work fireplace screen for $14 at Goodwill. I'm quite pleased with it. My sister suggested that I hang it on the wall. I think it will look just fine in front of the fireplace. Now I've seen coverage of the affair from Vivienne, Stephanie, Sarah and Steve and now yours. I don't recall any of them showing off their purchases, but I could be wrong. I really liked the multi-colored cut to clear coupes for €85. They weren't amazing, but they were worth the price for the lot and they all appeared to match. I think you're frugal like me. That's how you can walk away without buying something. I want to pay $3 for everything and I manage to do so quite often too. If I pay $20, it has to be amazing. I can't believe what people pass by without a glance. I'm looking at a little hand-painted and artist signed Bernardaud vase that I picked up for $.95. It looks to me to be about 1900 to 1910. I had a smile on my face for a week. But I pass by treasure all the time. I can't buy it all, nor do I want to. I do like to upgrade though. Fun episode. I'm glad you shared it with us. ❤ from TX!

Very private tbh, everything is moving along. My brother who is younger than me by 3 yrs 9 mo but lived a much faster and exciting life over mine, has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Recently had a bone marrow taken and soon will have radiation. At 76 myself I e realized even more that getting affairs in order is paramount to peace of mind. Much love to you both.

Hi Maryjane. They are indeed very different. After the revolution marriage became a legal contract in France. I assume that a church wedding will be very different. Even though that is completely optional. Only the mayors can marry people here in France. A priest will only bless before God and the congregation. Gosh, the things one learns……. 😂.
