Dear Kate, I want to tell you how grateful I am for your videos. I think KZbin creators underestimate their impact on others. I’m going to tell you a little bit of my story. My husband of 41 years died in august of last year. He was my best friend. A year before he died we adopted our four year old grandson, because my daughter has a severe mental illness. When I was young my grandmother taught me how to embroider. She use to tell me the back side of my work was like life it was messy. The finished top side was what we saw when we finally finished our work. The business of working through my grief has been like this for me. You have been a part of helping me work through all the pain. I love your inclusion of everyone. I have watched your videos and been able to laugh and be amazed at someone else’s creations. You have inspired me to move forward and I thank you for that and my little Charlie thanks you too. Blessings and well wishes coming your way from the other side of the lime green sofa. PS I don’t like to wear jewelry either or makeup, but I love to make it for others.

I have learned allot of tips for which I am grateful. Watching her interact with her cats, birds, nature is so refreshing. Such a wonderful afternoon with my friend from across the pond. I think I like you so much because you get it - you are doing things because they make you happy - give you joy. Dear Kate, thank you for this wonderful video. My day was a little rough with two tired little people and despite (or because of) they were so tired they could not fell asleep... but now it is quiet in the house and I got a while for myself with my knitting and you. I feel relaxed and filled with new energy to fix the kitchen and the laundry. And when I feel overwhelmed I try to tell myself that you might not have had as much creating time when your kids were small but times change and one day I will have a lot of creating time and miss those busy days. My grandmother taught me to embroider when I was. Small child. She had a saying [form her German heritage] ‘Langes schnur, faules Madel” which means long thread ,lazy girl. I hated threading the needles so would cut a long piece and get tangled, and she would chide me as she helped me untangle the thread. To this day I can hear her voice every time I thread a needle.😊

Years ago my grandchildren threaded beads like yours when they came to stay ,and we hung them on our christmas tree . I still have them threaded to repurpose one day but lovely memories of them having fun with grannys beads .

Yes Kate, why not!!! I absolutely love watching and listening to you. I sometimes imagine you living right next door so I can pop in and have a cuppa. Oh I wish I had the space for a poly tunnel too. But I will have to do with house plants. I love the information about leaders and enders. And again, why not. And what a smart idea about the thread bunnies❤. I will get be getting some started. Thank so much for sharing. TTFN

Has anyone told you lately how absolutely wonderful you are? I so appreciate that you turn your camera on and "invite" us into your life. I feel like I'm sitting right across from you (although I'm drinking coffee... ;-) While I've never met you, you come across as a dear friend, and I'm having a visit with you. I don't know why expressing this sentiment is bringing grateful tears to my eyes, but it is. Maybe it's just been so damn lonely these last 2+ years, and you offer this lovely virtual friendliness that clearly I so need.

The jars with the little things in it are great. Specialy the bunny ears coming out the lid. It is always nice to see what you make.Have a nice day.

Oops, the last sentence ran away with me. Anyway, there are things I make just because I like to have them in front of me. It is nice to see you, Kate, doing the same. What lovely idea stringing up these tiny pieces of material in your tunnel. I love it. It is such a joy to watch color move and shimmer, whether the object is made by nature or by you.
