I just wanna say I've been a musician and producer for over 15 years now, and your videos are great. I still watch them to get tips for my music, even though we don't make the same styles of music 😁✌💖

I have watched tons of music production lessons and you are the first to explain the 8 dotted rhythm. After seeing this I will have to go back and remodel all of my tracks. This lesson is a move to your next level lesson. Thanks for such detailed explanations. KVS: South-Africa

That's true a lot just say dotted 8th and I'm ok don't know what that means I'm glad I watched this video now ik
@VinceFinemModular10 күн бұрын
@@lawrencegutting7248 Dotted notes are from sheet music notation. You know how music notes look kind of like little balls with flagpole on top? If you see a dot next to the note, it means to add a half of that note's length to the note. So a dotted quarter note would be a quarter note plus an eighth note in length. A dotted eighth note is an eighth note plus a sixteenth note in length. Dotted sixteenth adds a 32nd note to the length etc.

I confess that when you removed the spaces between the notes, I thought the sound was a little robotic. But at the end of the video, listening to the completed song, everything made sense! 😅 Incredible lesson and amazing song! 🔥👏🏻

You're right - i am definitely going to use this framework with the next track I make. Simple little frameworks like this are exactly the sort of thing that I am after right now, to help remove some of the barriers to "making lots of music" as mechanism for learning how to really make music. Thank you very much ❤

you can also keep stacking minor 3rds to make diminished chords which I like to think of as "portals" to different sounds
