I finally got around to grilling some shrimp earlier following your expert tutelage. I just made a simple marinade of olive oil, butter, garlic, and some pepper flakes. I used the rest of the marinade in jasmine rice. Spot on, Pitmaster.. Spot on!!

Definitely the stick-to-your-ribs food channel. Although this looks lip-smackin delicious, Im going to stick with the decision to grill my next turkey. I'm definitely going to try this. I'm thinking of making the cranberry sauce with the grilled turkey. And those buttermilk biscuits!! You're the best, Pitmaster, I dont care what anyone says!!

Man I’m NEVER doubting you, you are one of the best I’ve seen. But when I brine I’ve found it’s best to get your hands under the skin and separate it. I brine mine in a cooler/ice/water for 3 days and man it seems to make a difference. After that I boil a nice amount of garlic salt/powder/butter and I pour it under the skin and then season it normally and man, it’s on. ESPECIALLY when smoked on the grill. I now refuse to cook a turkey on any thing beyond a grill or deep fry 😂. But anyway, great job as ALWAYS…
@bbqsouthernstyleКүн бұрын
Thank you. Cooking it the way I did is a completely different turkey cook. No need to get under the skin on this one. But I do get what you are doing. Sounds like you know the deal. Happy Holidays.

I have never seen a turkey cooked in this way…it is very interesting. It looks delicious, for turkey eaters! You could put it on rice, or even mashed potatoes, as well, so that you can have something different every day. Had you saved some of the breast meat, you could’ve had open faced turkey sandwiches, smothered with gravy. It’s versatile! You can do so much with it, especially since you can keep it a while in the fridge, which makes me wonder…does it freeze well? Nice job! 🤗👍🏻
@bbqsouthernstyleКүн бұрын
Thank you my dear. Yes, it does freeze well, and you can pull it out any time. Kids love it lol they don't have to fuss with bones. This is one of my favorite ways to have it.
@dmartin1203Күн бұрын
@ I’ll keep this in the “recipe file” in the event I might have to feed a larger crowd one day! My other question is did it really completely cook in just one hour? Don’t you have to cook turkeys, I think it’s an hour per pound, or something like that…in other words, a really long time? How is it that it can cook in only one hour? Also, can you cut it up into smaller pieces to cook, since it’s going to be pulled apart anyway? I have a pressure cooker, but it’s stove top, and a lot smaller. Would that work in the same way?
@bbqsouthernstyleКүн бұрын
55 Minutes to be correct with it. I let it sit in the cooker till the pressure came down naturally. To hard boil a turkey would only take you 45 minutes. I know it sounds wired but google answers lot of questions lol. You would think a turkey boil be longer, but nope. I use the cooker because the turkey comes out Juicer and more tender. Not to mention the flavor is so much better not hard boiling it.
@dmartin1203Күн бұрын
@@bbqsouthernstyle Good ol’ Google! Lol! Why Google it when I trust your answers more? 🤗 Have a wonderful afternoon…I’m looking forward to the next one!
