- Ha, steam engines so slowly and low-efficient! three guys standing in the lake: - hold our beer...

I knew being tethered hydro it would be quick but that was faster than I thought was possible with steam!

Very special ! A fast running steam engine - why not. I couldn´t withstand laughing watching the seniors standing in the sea with bad weather doing there one and only (?) hobby.

Spectacular performance! Is the steam plant documented anywhere on the net, with pictures?

That has to be a 45 degree pitch on that prop. Nicely done. That banter in the background, was that real or just a track?

Ok you say steam powered I want to see the engine because the sound is of a two stroke diesel engine??????
@RABRABRABRABRABRAB4 жыл бұрын
I can vouch for them being steam powered. Lubricating oil is forced into the steam line close to the cylinder head so you may get some form of detonation resulting in the noise

Steam powered?
@motormech1h3433 жыл бұрын
@Fred Smith yeah just never seen one before almost sounds like a gas engine
@geraldokland74993 жыл бұрын
Steam powered NO! No time to heat water to build steam .Steam ship engines like Titanic had reciprocating engines and one steam turbine center prop This at best was a "PULSEJET" W W II V 1 bomb I would like to to see a detailed drawing also Or a TWO CYCLE ENGINE -mainly it was hard to start and keep going .VERY COMMON

@@geraldokland7499 Sir - you are very much wrong, these generate steam through a flash boiler which provides superheated steam to a small piston engine of around 10cc. Flash steam tethered hydroplanes have been around for over 100 years

Zoom out a tiny bit and you don't have to move the camera left to right! Really wanted to watch this but could not.
@LaggerSVK3 жыл бұрын
yeah, also it was going out of focus so often. Hard to watch
