My biggest confusion is that I mistakenly assumed the girl at the beginning was the main character the whole time and they just jumped back to show you how the events led to her being on the table...guess it was just an earlier victim who looked like her.

I like how the small, seemingly inconsequential details revealed by the driver during their conversations are revealed to be true. Like the mafia stuff and his interest in making films. Small stuff, but i appreciate the pay offs. And the use of sirens and red light is brilliant. That drove up the sacre factor for me by miles.

I loved the film, I could see since the beginning that Fabrizio (idk how to write it 😂 ) was in it and I feel like the intentionally did this thou and the real surprise how the family and mafia was in on it. No fake monsters but real onces, the darkness of human nature. Amazing 🍿

In the end, she didn’t have to get an ab0rtion because she was having a mi$carriage from all the trauma she’d just gone through. Probably felt some relief, because she now feels the world is sick.

Finally watched it today and the only thing that surprised me was that the girl was in on it. I could see the other twists from a mile away but the girl being his little sister was surprising. The girl shown at the start looks like the final girl on purpose imo which was a nice touch.

Movies cited/giving inspiration to the film, as far as I can feel (SPOILER ALERT): 1. WOLFCREEK: the on the road story, the characters narcotized with a drink, and most of ALL: the protagonist freeing her hands from pins, very very painfully, as the the survivor in wolf creek; 2. MIDSOMMAR: dining scene, the midday sun and people simulating the protagonist's feelings; 3. KILL BILL: shooting at the entrance of the camper scene; and revenging? 4. THE VILLAGE: hooded giant creatures, resembling animals?, the EPILOGUE. the "real" outside world; 5. THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT: the camera point of view, but maybe also Saw?... what about you?

Good observations! I would agree with all of those! I feel like Cabin in the Woods was a heavy inspiration for this one as well. Also when Elisa rips her hands off from the nails in front of the TV screens I feel like that scene was paying homage to the original Poltergeist with the imagery 😃

Never seen the movie myself. But the moment you began showing the very first scene I knew the twist would be it's a snuff film. And I knew the one guy was in on it by him causing such an accident with the RV, knowing all about the Three wise knights, and how he fell asleep, stayed asleep during his friends being kidnapped, and was unharmed himself. Also had an idea he actually was a mafia since he joked about it.

They were paid local actors. The whole “cult” thing is fake just for the plot of the snuff film. They were just filming in an old restricted military area which is why no one ever goes there and there was no cell reception.

I liked this movie as well, it was different. I think it makes sense the gun was real as the intent was to create a snuff film. That doesn't explain why it was just out for anyone to grab though. I love your take on the ending, that's what I was thinking, but you articulate it much better than I could. However, and maybe it's because I'm from Florida...the thought of her submersing herself in saltwater with all those deep, open wounds...I don't know, despite the bacteria in sea/ocean water, some people do believe it's worth it to try to debride a wound in dire circumstances, that would have been so painful though. Every cut and especially the wounds going straight through her hands, would have been on fire. It didn't seem like it to me at the time, but maybe it was fresh water? Which is also potentially life threatening should you submerse yourself, but that is particular to warm climates.

I’m pretty sure every single gun was real lol! It was definitely salt water and must’ve hurt like hell but I’m sure she would have much rather been in there than outside with everyone recording! I definitely love the ending and the music made it all feel very beautiful and hopeful!

Saltwater is amazing for wounds,acne, hair. It heals wounds right up. When I was younger I fell on my bike and had scrapes all over, I purposely went to the beach the next day just to soak my scrapes. They were healed within a couple days.

@@HorrorMine in a film like this full of criticism, that was a critic towards people acting snobbish without even knowing what they are talking about and their hypocrisy. If i remember correctly an outside voice (probably his gf) says something like "did you like the movie?" and he says "yes" but then dislikes it without even watching it, i guess it's a very clever take on how people give opinions without having any knowledge of what they are talking about and the fact that they put different masks on depending on the context.

I didn't like the video because if you watch it for an explanation after the movie, you end up watching 15min of stuff you just watched and 2min of insight. Still gave the video a like though because this guy clearly cares about his channel from the quality and his comment engagement.
