A classic way to do DuMe spell - from dressing to casting

I was thinking of getting a dume candle but, ended up getting a devil's candle. I placed the devil on a square shaped candle mirror for candles. Then placed a mixture of dirt, flies, black salt, my spit, and activated charcoal to place a circle around my devil candle. But first I added castor oil to my devil and dressed him with a mixture of herbs like patchouli, wormwood, and valerian root powdered. That candle burned for hours and, it broke my glass and burned my wooden table. Also, the wax melted evenly all over and on the targets name. I love the craft and I learn by coincidence. Are you supposed to let the candle burn consecutively for the several days until its done, or can you light it while you are home, blow it out when unattended, and continue to do that until it done? Usually, in a ritual that should create dispair or death, if it burns fast the curse probably isn't having an effect, while if it burns slowly it means it's slowly going in, and having max effect; the opposite goes for rituals for healing etc. It's still up to debate, so take this with a grain of salt. Stacey...Regardless of what type of candle you burn or what type of spell you cast, the way a candle burns provides info. When you buy candles, check the wicks and only purchase the candle(s) if the wick is dead center. If it isn't, the candle could burn unevenly, and this will prevent an accurate reading. People typically read a burning candle by watching the flame itself (large steady flame, small flickering flame, etc.), how the candle is melting (quickly, slowly, faster on one side, etc.) and how the melted wax collects on whatever surface holds the candle. There is a ton of info on this subject and way too much to cover here (and people have varying opinions on how to interpret certain things), but just to give you an idea - when a candle is burning slower than usual, it can mean there is a strong resistance to your spell (the target may be protected or the spell may not be sufficient or effective), when a candle burns out or will not stay lit (considering there is no wind, etc.), it can mean the target is under a reverse/return spell that will send your work back to you or it could mean whatever higher source you are calling on to assist you might be refusing aid. When a candle burns too quickly, it can mean the spell did not have enough time to manifest and you may need to do a different spell or complete the same one again. Again, people tend to have different beliefs when it comes to interpreting all of this, especially when dealing with chaos. Someone else may disagree with everything I just said, entirely. The best thing to do is study as much as you can, learn what to look for and why it is important and then, as your work progresses, you will begin to notice patterns that are specific to you, your work and your results. I always note candle readings afterwards so that I can search for patterns and compare them to results later on. If you notice that when you burn a candle with a low or unsteady flame, the results do not manifest, then, in the future, if you see this, you already will know that you may need to recharge the candle, do a stronger spell, call on a different source, or simply start over at another time (during a different moon phase or planetary influence) - just for an example. I have a question, as the dume candle was finishing up burning the glass broke into several pieces and fell apart spilling wax out onto the altar. I've read several different interpretations for this from the glass breaking meaning that the targets protection has been broken/removed and the spilled wax meaning that tears and blood will be shed to the breaking meaning that the target is reversing the spell back to me. I know the intention of the candle can change the meaning of the glass breaking, I'm trying to find out what the meaning is for a dume candle? Bury it next to a railroad train track or at a crossroad. Others also bury in the center of a graveyard but I personally wouldn't recommend that unless your an expert magician or have studied that in detail .

karina Alcalá put the remains in a black cloth and tie with thick black thread, then bury it in a GRAVEYARD (Not someone’s grave). Or bury it near your enemy. Cleanse yourself with a hyssop herb bath or protect yourself before you start and finish the work for how long you want it to burn for 🖤🖤🖤🖤

People sometimes trim a long wick to control the flame. A longer wick can cause the candle to burn faster and cause a larger flame, which can be misleading if you are attempting to read a candle's flame or burn rate, but the relevance of the wick's length to a spell casting ends there. A shorter wick can also prevent excess soot from building up. I will trim a wick if it is much too long, as they often are, but I do not trim the wick in between lightings and I do it only to prevent the black soot from collecting (simply because it looks bad). Typically, trimming wicks is more important when you are dealing with decorative and scented candles (so they don't produce the black soot and ruin the appearance of the candle and so they burn slower and last longer). When it comes to working magic and altar candles, etc., the length of the wick and choosing to trim it or not, won't have an effect on the outcome of whatever work you are doing or, by itself, cause a spell to fail or succeed. When it comes to candles, as with most things, it is all about the charge. If your candle is properly chosen and properly charged, it will do the job (it does not guarantee that the spell will succeed, but it will not hinder it in any way, either). A spell can fail for a multitude of reasons, of course, but the length of the wick on the candle typically is not one of them. However, if you believe that the length of the wick on a candle is preventing you from manifesting results, then you should do what you feel is right, but, if you don't notice a marked difference in your results after trimming candle wicks, then you may need to look elsewhere for an explanation.
