The truth is any family with two parents can make it work but it takes a heck of a lot of sacrifice and that’s what people aren’t willing to admit. I’m saying this as someone whose mom stayed home and dad worked. We had very little and did very little but I’m so incredibly grateful for their sacrifice because our family unit is stronger than any other family I’ve seen. Now, obviously not every family has two parents and that’s a different story.

@@marvin2678 - Honestly, I can only describe it as a biological and hormonal shift. And I've heard about studies and literature that suggest the same thing I experienced. Namely that, at some point in most women's lives, a biological switch triggers inside them, and their natural maternal instincts emerge. Their hormones change, and suddenly they want children when they didn't before. It happens to most women. :)

I was the complete opposite at 25. I never thought I’d be a mom and I had just finished university and became a flight attendant. I’m now 43 with a 9 year old, 2 dogs and 3 gerbils. I also teach grade 6/7. It’s very chaotic, but I’m also so thankful! I love watching you and your sister. You are both such inspirations! Keep living your dream!

My husband used to work out of town all week and sometimes all weekend at home in his office. I would try my best to have everything done and sheets and bedding washed (just my welcome home thing) when he came home so we could spend all our time together and just playing with our 8 kids. He would gladly help if it didn’t work out that way, but most of the time it did, so we could just have kid time together and alone time when he was there.

Get a Bissell Crosswave! It has changed my life. I have all tile and hardwood downstairs and now instead of vacuuming and then mopping, I bust that sucker out every time I need to “sweep”. We don’t wear shoes indoors so my floors don’t get terrible but it has honestly been a game changer for me. If I need to do a “deep clean” I’ll do it with the solution first and then go over it again with plain hot water.

You are blessed to a military has been home with you at night. That’s so important that together you put your children to bed and embrace and love them and then before you go to bed, your husband helps you do the rest of your cleaning and me as a mom and having grown children, I’ve always cleaned my house three or four times a day before I went to bed no dishes ever in the sink. The house was all clean when I woke up it was a pleasure to wake up to a clean house used to make my children’s lunch as they were getting ready for bed always read books to them and in their lunch boxes I would but I love you and have a blessed day.❤❤ into your husband tell him thank you for his service. When my first born was born I had this great notion to deep clean my downstairs floor every night. I was scrubbing my floors on my knees. Yeah, five days, why? My kid played on the floor. More kids bigger place, still clean floors every night. Now my much older kids clean. A clean space gives me a much calmer home. Kids make mess, let them, they are kids, teach them to put their toys away when finish. Teach kids to put the bowls, plates and cups in the sink. Maybe put a tub for them at the end of the table just for their stuff.

Get the tineco vacuum mop! It changed my lifffeeee 😭😭😭 you’ll still need to do a full mop to get the corners but I only have to do that like once a week or so. That vacuum mop seriously cuts the time into 1/3

Bless you and yours. Being a military spouse is NOT an easy task. My wife (of over 40 years) can speak to this even better than I. Almost half of that was in the military family.
