A closer look at Hope and some very Canadian waterfalls 🇨🇦 HOPE→VANCOUVER

A tour of the town of Hope, British Columbia. Hope is where the 1982 Sylvester Stallone movie "First Blood" (i.e., Rambo) was shot. Nowadays, Hope is a quiet and pretty town with lots of downtown shops, quirky sculptures, and happy-looking people. After an extended look at the streets and buildings and people of Hope, my sister and I drive out towards Vancouver. On the way we stop at the majestic but quite different Bridal Veil Falls and, later, Cascade Falls. And we find lunch at a charming roadside joint called Wheelz. Nice drive through one of Canada's most enjoyable corners.

Hope is a lovely place----and that movie theatre is great! A few years ago, when returning from a camping trip in the interior, my wife and I stayed over in Hope, and we just randomly walked down the street into getting to see "The African Queen" at that theatre. A great place!

That's excellent. If I were passing through BC regularly I'd try to always stop in Hope and see whatever's playing at the theater

I was out for a Sunday drive today and guess where I wound up? You guessed it hope. I wanted to check out Coquihalla Provincial Park which just partially reopened after suffering severe damage due to the 2021 floods. I drove out along Highway 7 to Hope, and that is a very scenic drive. Hwy 1 is not so bad until you get closer to the Vancouver area. I think I may need to revisit both of the waterfalls you went to. Thanks for the really good video!

Thanks! We were going to see the caves (?) near Hope but they were still closed to the public. Glad we found those waterfalls - weren't really anticipating either of them
