This I why i like your videos so much. YOU HAVE FUN AND IT SHOWS. Nice lady to give you that tour. Yes. Please do the walk of different colors on buildings. Decay in Japan is not even close to here. Love your friends in the cafe in the end. Enjoy your list of things to look for on your walk. I have a mental list here for my walks $. Very rarely find any. 😮 Thanks Jeremy. Chat next video . Be safe and enjoy Japan and your coffee. I prefer decaf green tea. C

I really rather enjoyed this. Great to see this off the beaten track place. I’ve commented this before but the scavenger hunt addition is great.

Great! Glad someone likes the checklist idea. I've grown very fond of it myself

Jeremy, wonderful video. Travel is so much more interesting when you do what you do and explore the out of the way places that show how real people live. To say the least I could be very happy to live in this type of obscure "run down" neighborhood. Thanks again for showing quality travel is.

This "grimy" neighborhood looks very tidy and livable/human scale by the standards of most of the planet, including much of the US!

Wow this is a great video. A real joy to watch. I love seeing the lesser known, less traveled locations where we see day to day life. What character this town has. Especially loved the friendliness of the residents. Thank you!!

Always love how a set meal in Japan gives you a balanced meal. Always pickles (for digestion) and miso soup (to warm the soul). BTW I think there was a building with faded paint right around the corner.

Very probably so! Sometimes I'm distracted by something and miss something else obvious. Watching the footage afterwards I always think, "How did I not notice that thing??"

@@T1DWanderer Does 7:00 count as faded paint?
@T1DWanderer6 ай бұрын
@@loudmouthnewyorker2803 Hmm, not quite. There's a certain look here of paint that used to be pretty vivid but has faded in the sun over the decades. That's specifically what I mean -- hopefully I'll find (notice) some soon

Even among Japanese people, there are not many who have mentioned this place. Every three months, I take my family member, who has aftereffects from a stroke, to a low-carb diet doctor in Abiko-michi, the next station. The old townscape remains intact all the way to the Nankai Railways Main Line to the west from here. These small lovely trains can also be chartered for private use.

This is such a cool area -- and there are a lot of little neighborhoods to explore. All of a piece but I bet each has its own unique touches. You don't get that in the same way in the newer areas of Osaka

The pedestrian bridge at the start reminds me of one at Causeway Bay, Hong Hong.
