In todays video we are pulling solds in my basement warehouse, secretly shopping at the TJ Maxx Clearance sale & doing a clothing haul with some brands you may not know!

The hunt is real! I spend hours and hours each week, combing through thrift stores, estate sales, auctions & flea markets ... to bring home the goods and prepare them for selling in my Ebay store, which fully supports me!

I remember bed jackets. My mother had them. She would put one on over her nightie in the AM, sit up in bed and drink the tea my Dad brought in for her before he went to work. She would have her tea and then get up and start her day. Nice story from the 1950's.

🙋‍♀️ 30 yrs employee at the tj maxx here. We just got through with the final yellow clearance. These are done twice a year. Next one will be after the winter season and before spring. The last week of yellow clearance are marked down 3 times Mon-wed-fri. Whatever is left will be donated to the goodwill. Also included will be anything with a summer theme,swimsuits, white apparel, beach items, floats etc. they are boxed up and shipped to a goodwill address. It does not go to our local goodwill in our town.

Garment Back Front confusion: You made 2 comments in the video that reminded me of an event from the 1970s, when my wife and I went into a high end clothing store, to get her something for a special event. She came out of the fitting room wearing a plunging neckline top that was stunning, but would break her budget. I think it was cashmere and the fit certainly grabbed my attention. The plunge was nearly to her belly button and I told her she looked great. She felt a bit "exposed" and said if she twisted too quickly, would likely be revealing to much to be out in public. Since she loved the style and color, she walked up to the haughty sales staffer and asked if they stocked something similar, but not so revealing. The staffer looked her over and informed her that she had it on backwards and the plunge was for the small of the back. It initially flustered my wife, but she did purchase it and looked fantastic. Which brings up your second comment. That a women in her 60s (which my wife is) can't always pull off the same clothing style she did in her early 20s, but the funny thing about fashion (especially women's) is that much of it seems to eventually cycle back into style. LOL

I always enjoy your videos. Yesterday I went to my local Goodwill. I’m not a reseller. I looked at the hard goods and if I was a reseller i wouldn’t know what to buy. There was so many good things. I was thinking what you would have picked up. I found a Ann Taylor dress. It was really nice. Very overwhelming as there is soooo many cloths there!

Hi Karen - great content and it does feel like we’re all watching a friend in real life! I love Faherty brand…I’ve had 10 items in my Poshmark closet and they’ve all sold…flannel shirts for men & women, men & women’s sweaters, and two linen blend dresses…sold prices on these items ranged from $32 to $89, and all were pre-owned. I bought a cashmere sweater and don’t believe I even looked at the brand. Had it in my death pile. Went to list and to my surprise when I looked up the brand saw it sold new for around $1500! It was a Lori Piana!!

Loved several of the items you just showed, hope they are listed! Thanks for the tip re: tag holes on fabric. One of the things that thrift stores do which totally horrify me is to punch holes in high quality silk clothing or scarves with the tag price. I always leave them behind so thanks so much for the tip!

Hey that Mara Hoffman printed top is from the spring summer 2015 runway collection. Very recognizable print of the Japanese rising sun.The print is called misun. I think you could easily get 150 or so somewhere around there. Some are listed on ebay for 255 and in the 200s

The baby shoes/boots may be from the 1920's. My dad had some that were very similar and he was born in 1921. Mom had them "pewtered", like the bronzed baby shoes that we see many of.
