I found that the wave roller was too soft. The hyperice is way more dense and gets deeper into the tissue. The hyperice also has a stronger vibration IMO.
@alejandrocotilla28993 жыл бұрын
The wave roller is also super "slippery", what about the hyperice?
@Boldnbeautiful863 жыл бұрын
@@alejandrocotilla2899 yes, I had that same issue. The new viper 3 is not slippery, the old one in the video was slippery. They added some rubber on the sides to keep if from slipping. It’s much stronger and firmer than the wave roller. I was super disappointed with the wave roller.

Was there a difference in how the wave roller feels at its different levels vs the hyperice vyper 2.0? Is one noticeably stronger than the other or provides a different sensation?
@BestMassageTech4 жыл бұрын
The feeling is slightly different, primarily based on the surfaces with the vyper being firmer. I definitely felt the vibrations more with the wave roller. The vibrations on the wave roller feel “bigger” I guess is the easiest way I can put it.
@BestMassageTech4 жыл бұрын
Larry Cornelio the wave roller feels stronger to me. They are certainly both effective but if I was choosing one I’d pick the wave roller.

I use a pvc pipe wrapped in texture tape and a hard foam roller with aggressive knobs/spikes. I have used the theragun roller it is too soft for me. For this reason I've been considering the Viper. Any suggestions for any off brand vibrating rollers? The more power and the more stiffer, the better for me. Thanks guys!
@BestMassageTech4 жыл бұрын
I’ve only tried the Proper Roller. The Vyper is firm and would likely meet your needs. It’s much firmer than the wave roller.

If decathlon is in your part of the world, give their Aptonia Vibrating foam roller. It's the standard hard roller with soft bumps that gives the same experience of a standard tough roller, with the added vibrations 👍🏻

That was so fast on the comparison! thank you!

I enjoyed your comparison. Nice and thorough. But I like the Vyper and think it’s because of the firmness and seems to vibrate stronger from my experience. Wish the price was same though, Wave roller has it beat there for sure, 50 dollars is alot…….

I am looking to get the Wave Roller since it's on sale for Black Friday, but my main concern was how it seemed like it was softer than the Vyper. What are your thoughts on this? I do prefer a slightly firmer foam roller but don't NEED the firmest roller out there.
@BestMassageTech4 жыл бұрын
Vyper is firmer for sure. Wave roller vibrates harder.

I suggest if you are a beginner to definitely get the Wave Roller; I find the Vyper better for more advanced workouts.

Is there a weight capacity for each roller? I weigh 270 lbs and I’m 6 foot 3. I’d rather avoid breaking one or the other is possible
@BestMassageTech3 жыл бұрын
Hey Jon, unfortunately I can’t find a weight limit for either of them. I’d say one thing to consider is that unless you plan to stand on it, there will never be your full body weight on it. One person on the Amazon reviews of the Vyper says he was 275lbs and used it at his physical therapists office. Sorry, wish I had more info but they don’t have much published.
@Wemmajimmah3 жыл бұрын
@@BestMassageTech ya I couldn’t find anything either. The most id do is put a lot of my weight on it with my glutes. I appreciate your response and I went with the hyperice cause it’s way more stiff and bigger. Thank you sir!

Buyer beware, Hyperice doesn't support a 4.5 year old Vyper. Need a battery or info...nope, won't help you. Premium price product but no support or spare parts after a few years.
