I'd love to see you do a video on your Emerald husbandry, how you change the caging and environment as they grow. I remember you saying you keep some on water yet I see your adults on substrate and a water bowl, I'd love to understand your process in bringing them up. I have an emerald I'm struggling with in feeding, it seems to need A LOT of attention related to humidity and caging to keep food down.

Savu's are great but I wish I could find a nice dark pair of Macklot's. Haven't seen nice ones available in over 20 years. Back in the 90's I had an almost pure black and highly iridescent pair that came from Gary Sipperly. I'd pay big for a pair like that again.

Great job with another amazing video. I absolutely love your set up and animals. I use Boaphiles, AP cages, and Cserpents racks and love them all. I prefer caging for my adult boas, but really like V18 rack for babies and V70 rack for sub adults. I try to keep the # to under 45 animals, not counting the babies being produced, with my full time job. Anything over that might be overwhelming for me. 2 thumbs up from another snake keeper in Bergen county NJ.

Hello Gary, I wonder why you have changed your Chondro husbandry to substrate instead of newspaper/butcher paper that you used before, and why you have big tubs with water instead of large waterbowls in your cages? What´s your philosophy here, I am very curious to why you changed it, any specific benefits for this? And where did you buy those black hide boxes from? Thank´s! Great videos, keep em coming!

50 to 60 hours a week and 50 adults and working towards 100 hatchlings and we will see if it's too much this year. will reevaluate next season. Or be able to work less and breed more.

Awesome snakes! I’m stacking my shekels to get in the big boy game lol. I am curious to know of your mouse maintenance routine! Or anyone breeding mice on a small scale. I would love the benefits of raising my own feeders brings…but am terrified of a potential everyday cleaning routine to keep even a small group unnoticed in a smaller house/apartment…any research, literature, recommendations, tips to get started? Most of what I see is for large operations which doesn’t seem like it scales down so well if I just need a few breeders. Thanks!

I don't know what my breaking point would be with snakes. Right now I have 10 snakes of 6 different species. Some I'm raising up to hopefully get into breeding some day. But some are just pets that I enjoy having. But if I had to guess... I'd say maybe 40-50 with my full time job outside of reptiles. So that's my current snakes, and 2 or 3 more to add to my small breeding groups, and then 1-3 clutches at a time.
